Vince Byron (born 11 May 1990) is an, Australian BMX rider. He wins 14 medals at X-Games and he will specialize in BMX Vert and Big Air. Contest history Before his X Games success he won two third place at the X Games in 2007 and 2008. He won the gold at T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds Vert in 2010. It is at Dew Tour where his successes begin, he won some medals (two second place, two third place and one first place). He is a Mega Ramp (or Big Air) specialist. He won a 2nd place and 3rd place in 2011. Byron has competed in numerous X Games, most recently competing in the 2017 X Games where he took another Gold medal in Vert and Silver medal in Big Air. BMX Racing
BMX racing is a type of off-road bicycle racing. The format of BMX was derived from motocross racing. BMX bicycle racing, races are sprint races on purpose-built off-road single-lap race tracks. The track usually consists of a starting gate for up to eight racers, a groomed, serpentine, dirt race course made of various jumps and rollers and a finish line. The course is usually about wide and has large banked corners, which are angled inward, that help the riders maintain speed. The sport of BMX racing is facilitated by a number of regional and international sanctioning bodies. They provide rules for sanctioning the conduct of the flying, specify age group and skill-level classifications among the racers, and maintain some kind of points-accumulation system over the racing season. The X Games are an annual extreme sports event organized, produced and broadcast by ESPN. Coverage is also shown on ESPN's sister network, ABC. Dew Tour
The Dew Tour is an extreme sports circuit organized by the Adventure Sports Group, a subsidiary of American Media, LLC. History The tour was announced in late 2004, and made its debut in Louisville, KY in June 2005. The tour then made stops in Denver, Portland, Oregon, and San Jose, California, and wrapped up its inaugural season in Orlando, Florida, in October that year. In its first year, the tour was a major success and returned to those five cities in 2006. In 2007, the tour replaced their Louisville, Denver and San Jose stops with events in Baltimore, Cleveland, and Salt Lake City. They did return to Portland and Orlando that year. X Games Minneapolis 2017
X Games Minneapolis 2017 is an Extreme sport, action sporting event that took place July 13–16, 2017, at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. This X Games, Summer X Games was the first held in the Midwest and the first of two X Games events to be held in the state of Minnesota with another planned for the following summer in 2018. Jamie Bestwick
Jamie Bestwick (born 8 July 1971 in Nottingham, United Kingdom) is a British BMX rider. He won 13 gold medals in the BMX Vert event at the X Games, and one gold medal for Vert Best Trick. He started riding BMX with his friends at 10 years old. Jamie only competed in BMX events for fun. Riding his bike was just a way to hang out with his friends. After he finished school, his first priority was working as an engineer for Rolls-Royce in England and he thought that was going to be his career.
