Career Vinay Varma, founder of Sutradhar started out as an amateur theatre practitioner. He has been involved with theatre for more than thirty years. He's also been a part of more than 15 feature films in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and a Hollywood film. Surendra Verma
Surendra Verma (born 7 September 1941) is a leading Hindi litterateur and playwright. He started out as a playwright, when his play ''Surya Ki Antim Kiran Se Surya Ki Pahli Kiran Tak'' (From sunset to sunrise, 1972) became quite well known; it has been translated into six Indian languages. He has had a long association with the National School of Drama.and has published about fifteen titles of short stories, satires, novels and plays. Sagar Sarhadi (11 May 1933 – 22 March 2021) was an Indian short story and play writer, and a writer, director and producer for film. Born in Baffa (then in British India and now in Pakistan), he began writing Urdu short stories and then continued as an Urdu playwright. Shanker Shesh was an Indian playwright, author, poet and story writer. Biography Shanker was born on 2 October 1933 in Bilaspur, Central Provinces and Berar, British India. He did his higher education in Nagpur and Mumbai. He got his Ph.D. from Nagpur University in 1964. Shesh was associated with theatre from 1956 and remained associated throughout his life. While being appointed as the Chief Hindi Officer of State Bank of India in Mumbai, he continued to do playwriting and other creative work. ''Agnes of God'' is a 1979 play by American playwright John Pielmeier which tells the story of a novice nun who gives birth and insists that the child was the result of a virgin conception. A psychiatrist and the mother superior of the convent clash during the resulting investigation. The title is a pun on the Latin phrase Agnus Dei (Lamb of God). Synopsis The stage play concerns three main characters: Martha, the psychiatrist; the Mother Superior; and Agnes, the novice. There are no other characters on stage. John Pielmeier (born February 23, 1949) is an American playwright and screenwriter. Life and career Pielmeier was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the son of Louise (Blackburn) and Len Pielmeier. He was raised Catholic. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Catholic University of America in 1970 and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1978. He began his career as an actor, working with such repertory companies as Actors Theater of Louisville and the Guthrie Theater. Ravindra Bharathi is an auditorium located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was named after Rabindranath Tagore. History On 23 March 1960, the then Governor of Uttar Pradesh and a former Chief minister of Andhra State, Bezawada Gopala Reddy laid the foundation stone of the auditorium. The building was designed by Mohammad Fayazuddin, an alumnus of Architectural Association School of Architecture, London. Built during the birth centenary celebrations of Rabindranath Tagore, the auditorium was constructed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for over a year. On 11 May 1961, former President of India, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan inaugurated it to serve the cultural needs of the region.
