Bhalki is a town in Bidar district in the Indian state of Karnataka. History First mention of the town was made as "Bhallunke" in the vachanas of 12th century sharanas. The sharana Kumbara Gundaiah was from Bhalki who was part of Bhakthi movement. Eshwar Bheemanna Khandre (born 15 January 1962) is an Indian politician serving as the Working President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, since 4 July 2018. He is a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Bhalki constituency since 25 May 2008. He was the Minister of Municipal Administration & Public Enterprises of Karnataka from 2016 to 2018 in the Siddaramaiah ministry. He was the Minister in Charge of the Bidar district.
