Jaan Manitski
Jaan Manitski (born 7 March 1942 in Viinistu) is an Estonian businessman, politician and art collector. He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia in 1992. Biography Manistki was born in Viinistu, on the coast of the Gulf of Finland. He and his parents escaped to Finland and then to Sweden in 1943 when he was only one and a half years old. Jaan was ABBAs financial manager. Kuusalu Parish
Kuusalu Parish ( et, Kuusalu vald) is a rural municipality in northern Estonia, the largest in Harju County. After joining with the adjacent Loksa Parish in 2005, the municipality has now a population of 6,863 (as of 1 January 2009) and covers an area of . The population density is 9.7 inhabitants per km2. A significant share of the municipality's territory (between 40% and 60%) is covered by protected areas, as large parts of the Lahemaa National Park and Põhja-Kõrvemaa Nature Reserve are situated there. The eastern part of the municipality is home to the largest military training area in Estonia, the central training area of Estonian Defence Forces. The administrative centre of the municipality is Kiiu. Aleksander Warma
Aleksander Warma VR I/3 (also Varma; – 23 December 1970) was an Estonian navy officer, diplomat and painter. Biography Aleksander Warma studied at marine schools of Käsmu and Narva, took a deep sea captain's exam in Riga. In 1920, he took the high school exams to the examination committee of the Tallinn Teachers' Seminar. 1920–1924 studied at the dept. of the law of Tartu University, graduated with the 1st-degree diploma, 1928 Master of Law. Member of Estonian Students' Society. In World War I, he served in the Russian Baltic fleet. In Estonian War of Independence, he served in the Estonian Navy, was chief of staff of navy in 1919–1920. After the war was commander of a navy ship Mardus. In 1924–1926, he was assistant to the jurisconsult of the Ministry of War. In 1926 Warma retired as lieutenant commander. Counties ( et, maakond, plural ') are the first-level administrative subdivisions of Estonia. Estonian territory is composed of 15 counties, including 13 on the mainland and 2 on islands. The government (') of each county is led by a ' (governor) who represents the national government (') at the regional level. A municipality ( et, omavalitsus, plural ) is the smallest administrative subdivision of Estonia. Each municipality is a unit of self-government with its representative and executive bodies. The municipalities in Estonia cover the entire territory of the country. Gulf Of Finland
The Gulf of Finland ( fi, Suomenlahti; et, Soome laht; rus, Фи́нский зали́в, r=Finskiy zaliv, p=ˈfʲinskʲɪj zɐˈlʲif; sv, Finska viken) is the easternmost arm of the Baltic Sea. It extends between Finland to the north and Estonia to the south, to Saint Petersburg in Russia to the east, where the river Neva drains into it. Other major cities around the gulf include Helsinki and Tallinn. The eastern parts of the Gulf of Finland belong to Russia, and some of Russia's most important oil harbors are located farthest in, near Saint Petersburg (including Primorsk).
