Vihiga United are a football team from Mbale vihiga county currently playing in the Kenya Premier League, having been promoted for the 2018 season. Their colours are green and yellow. They were captained by Bernard Ochieng during their maiden KPL season in 2018. Ochieng was also in the mix to represent the Kenya national team during the season. Kakamega
Kakamega is a town in western Kenya lying about 30 km north of the Equator. It is the headquarters of Kakamega County that has a population of 1,867,579 (2019 census). Gor Mahia Football Club (), commonly also known as ''K'Ogalo'' (), is a football club based in Nairobi, Kenya. They are the only team from Kenya to win an African continental title to date, having won the African Cup Winners' Cup in 1987 after previously reaching the final in 1979. Vihiga Queens FC, is a Kenyan professional women's football club based in Mbale, Vihiga County that competes in Kenyan Women's Premier League, the top tier of Kenyan football. The club is affiliated to the Football Kenya Federation The club has won the Premier League title on three consecutive occasions from 2017 to 2019. The team won the national league in 2019.
