Vigor High School
Vigor High School, located in Prichard, Alabama, is a public high school that educates grades 9- 12. It is operated by the Mobile County Public School System. It serves most of Prichard. Dress code The Mobile County Public School System requires all schools to have a school uniform policy. Shirts allowed include tennis shirts or oxford shirts in hunter green for freshman, sophomores, and juniors; and grey for seniors. Pants must be khaki, and the material must be cotton twill. Students are allowed to wear tennis shoes of any color. Open-toed shoes are not allowed. Jalston Demontrez Fowler Sr. (born July 26, 1990) is a former American football fullback. He played college football at Alabama, and was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Early years Fowler was a four-star running back out of Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama. In 2008, he rushed for 1,182 yards and 25 touchdowns, and also caught 27 passes for 391 yards and a score, leading his team to the 5A Alabama State Championship. For his efforts, he was an Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 5A All-State selection. Donald Francis Reese (September 4, 1951September 18, 2003) was an American football defensive end who played in the National Football League and the United States Football League. He played professionally for the Miami Dolphins, the New Orleans Saints and the San Diego Chargers and the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL. A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Ellis Lankster (born June 3, 1986) is an American football cornerback for the West Virginia Roughriders of the American Arena League (AAL). He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at West Virginia. He has also been a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and New York Jets. James Scott Hunter (born November 19, 1947) is a former professional football player, a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons in the 1970s. He played for the Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, and Detroit Lions. Early years Born in Mobile, Alabama, Hunter graduated from Vigor High School in Prichard. Patrick O'Neal Howell (born August 31, 1968) is a former professional baseball player. He played part of one season in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets in 1992, primarily as a center fielder. He also played one season in the Chinese Professional Baseball League in 1998. Deshaun Davis (born December 31, 1995) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the linebackers coach at the University of North Alabama.
