The ''Videoscandals'' ( es, Videoescándalos) were political scandals in Mexico in 2004 when videos of prominent politicians taken with hidden cameras were made public. The majority of them involved politicians in corrupt dealings with former business man Carlos Ahumada, and another showed a politician spending money in Las Vegas. Jorge Emilio González The first video shown on national television was of Jorge Emilio González MartÃnez the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM) leader (a long time ally of the PRI party). He was taped by one of his own party members, who introduced to him the businessman interested in the project, allegedly negotiating a $2 million bribe in cash to assist in the development of a hotel in an ecologically protected area. Federico Döring
Federico Döring Casar (born 13 September 1971) is a Mexican politician from Mexico City affiliated with the National Action Party (Mexico), National Action Party (PAN). He currently serves as a Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), deputy representing the XV Federal Electoral District of the Federal District, 15th electoral district of Mexico City in the LXIII Legislature of the Mexican Congress. Education Döring received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, ITAM. Political career In 1995, Döring became an active member of the PAN, and he was a citizen councilor from 1995 to 1999 for the borough of Benito Juárez. From 1997 to 2000, he was the technical secretary of the Legislative Assembly of the Federal District, ALDF's Tourism Commission; during this time, he advised the PAN parliamentary group on political reforms in the Federal District. Jorge Emilio González MartÃnez
Jorge Emilio González MartÃnez (born 16 April 1972 in Mexico City), popularly known as El Niño Verde (the Green Boy), is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM). He serves as a senator in the LXII Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing Quintana Roo. He also served as a senator from 2000 to 2006 and as a federal deputy from 1997 to 2000. González MartÃnez took over leadership of the PVEM in 2001 from his father, Jorge González Torres, who founded the party in 1986. His uncle VÃctor González Torres is the owner of the Farmacias Similares drugstore franchise and was a write-in candidate for president in 2006. His maternal grandfather, Emilio MartÃnez Manatou, was an Institutional Revolutionary Party congressman, presidential hopeful in 1970 and the governor of Tamaulipas from 1981 to 1987.
