Martin Leung () is an American pianist. He plays classical music and is known as Video Game Pianist. He gained recognition for playing video game music on the piano, both in concert venues and in online videos. In July 2004, a video of him playing the Super Mario Bros. theme, ''Super Mario Bros.'' theme blindfolded became viral video, viral. Leung makes YouTube videos, and as of August 2020, has over 102,000 subscribers and 25.67 million total views. Personal life Born in Hong Kong to Chinese and Japanese parents, Leung moved to California when he was three years old. After being noticed imitating his sister playing, he was enrolled piano lessons at the age of 4. Leung placed first twice at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, once in 1998 and once in 2000, and placed third at the Eighth Annual Oberlin International Piano Competition in 2002. Ory Shihor (born September 13, 1967) is an Israeli-American pianist, pedagogue, and co-founder of the Los Angeles based Ory Shihor Institute. Shihor is a pianist and pedagogue who performs, lectures, holds masterclasses and serves on the juries of international piano competitions. Shihor was the founder of the Colburn Music Academy and served as its dean between 2010-2017. He also served as piano professor at the Colburn Conservatory between 2008-2019. Claude Frank (born Claus Johannes Frank; December 24, 1925 – December 27, 2014) was a German-born American pianist. Biography Of Jewish ancestry, Frank was born in Nuremberg, Germany. His father emigrated to Brussels after the advent of the Third Reich, and the family eventually settled in Paris when Frank was 12. Frank subsequently began studies at the Paris Conservatoire, but in 1940, he and his mother escaped France by way of the Pyrenees and Lisbon, and settled in the USA.
