Victoria Park, Glasgow
Victoria Park is a park located in the west of Glasgow, Scotland, adjacent to the districts of Scotstoun, Whiteinch, Jordanhill and Broomhill. The park was created and named for Queen Victoria's jubilee in 1887. The main entrances to the park are from Westland Drive, Victoria Park Drive North, and Balshagray Avenue. The Friends of Victoria Park (FoVP) is a West Glasgow group set up to protect and develop Victoria Park. Main features There are a number of features within Victoria Park: *A memorial honouring the local residents who died in World War I and World War II. *A children's playpark with climbing frames and swings. *A pond, with two small islands. The ''Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland'' is a listing of gardens and designed landscapes of national artistic and/or historical significance, in Scotland. The Inventory was originally compiled in 1987, although it is a continually evolving list. Brian Limond (born 20 October 1974), known as Limmy, is a Scottish comedian, author, and Twitch (service), Twitch Online streamer, streamer. Hyndland Railway Station
Hyndland railway station serves Hyndland in Glasgow, Scotland. The station is west of and west of Glasgow Queen Street on the Argyle and North Clyde Lines. It is managed by ScotRail. The station was opened by British Railways as part of the electrification of the North Clyde Lines on 5 November 1960, replacing a nearby Hyndland (Stobcross Railway) railway station which was located at the end of a short branch line from Partickhill. This was subsequently adapted for use as an EMU maintenance depot, but eventually closed in 1987. The branch has since been lifted and the site redeveloped. Scottish Countryside Rangers Association
The Scottish Countryside Rangers' Association (SCRA) is the professional association supporting rangers and other countryside professionals in Scotland. Formed in 1974, the association has a strong tradition of supporting its members through the provision of advice, training and the facilitation of networking opportunities. Over recent years, efforts of the association have included organising the International Ranger Federation's 2006 World Ranger Congress in Stirling (in partnership with the Countryside Management Association of England and Wales), producing the Ranger Standards Manual, and starting to implement a programme of continuing professional development for rangers working in Scotland.
