Vermont Route 120 (VT 120) is a state highway located in Franklin County, Vermont, United States. The route begins at an intersection with VT 105 in the town of Sheldon, beginning as a north–south route until the junction with VT 235. At that junction, the route begins a west–east progression, reaching a junction with VT 108 in the town of Berkshire. The route was designated as a decision of the Vermont State Legislature in 1961. Route description VT 120 begins at an intersection with VT 105 in the town of Sheldon as a state-maintained continuation of nearby Kane Road. VT 120 runs north from the banks of the Missisquoi River into the small hamlet of North Sheldon. Very little defines North Sheldon, which the route leaves almost immediately as it bends northwest at Skunks Misery Road. Morses Line Border Crossing
The Morses Line Border Crossing connects the towns of Saint-Armand, Quebec with Franklin, Vermont on the Canada–US border. It is reached by Vermont Route 235 on the American side and by Quebec Route 235 on the Canadian side. In 1871, a proprietor named J. Morse opened a store at this location directly on the US-Canada boundary. A small village grew around it on both sides of the border. In 1934, the US built a border inspection station at Morses Line, and Canada built a new border station in 1952. Canada replaced its border station in 2015. The original 1934 US border station remains in use, and of all the 163 US land border inspection stations, it is the oldest one still in operation. The crossing is among the least busy of the 15 in Vermont, with about 80 cars using it a day. Franklin is a town in Franklin County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,363 at the 2020 census. The original name was "Huntsburgh", but the name was changed to "Franklin" in 1817. Geography Franklin is located along the northern border of Franklin County, which also is the northern border of Vermont and the Canada–United States border. The main community in town is the hamlet of Franklin near the town center, while East Franklin is on the town's eastern border. The Missisquoi River is a transboundary river of the east shore of Lake Champlain (via Missisquoi Bay), approximately long, in northern Vermont in the United States and southern Quebec in Canada. It drains a rural area of the northern Green Mountains along the Canada–US border northeast of Lake Champlain, and an area of Quebec's Eastern Townships.
