Vera Schoenenberg
Vera Schoenenberg (born 1973) is a German soprano in opera, operetta, Lied and oratorio, and a lecturer at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. Life Born in Plettenberg, Schoenenberg studied school music at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln where she was in the voice class of Klesie Kelly. She then studied opera singing at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf from 1997 until 2000 with Ingeborg Reichelt. Schoenenberg took master classes in opera with , Richard Miller and Brigitte Fassbaender, and in oratorio with Ingeborg Danz. Schoenenberg had her first engagement at the Junge Kammeroper Köln, where she made her stage debut in 1998 as First Lady in Mozart's '' Die Zauberflöte'' in a production presented in several cities in Germany. In 1999, she performed the title role in Puccini's '' Suor Angelica''. She was awarded a scholarship at the Bayreuth Festival from the Richard-Wagner-Verband in 2000. Plettenberg (; Westphalian: ''Plettmert'') is a town in the Märkischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Plettenberg is located to the west of the Sauerland hills. Deutsche Oper Am Rhein
The Deutsche Oper am Rhein (German Opera on the Rhine) is an opera company based in Düsseldorf and Duisburg. The opera also has an associated classical ballet company. Axel Kober has been its Music Director since 2009. The resident orchestra, the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, play both opera and symphonic repertoire. After the 1875 construction of what became the Düsseldorf ''Opernhaus'', a strong connection between the two cities’ opera houses existed from 1887 to 1920, and was not re-established until 1955 with the creation of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Theater Basel is the municipal theatre of the city of Basel, Switzerland, which is home to the city's opera and ballet companies.
