Vebjørn Sørum
Vebjørn Sørum (born 11 August 1998) is a Norwegian biathlete. He has competed in the Biathlon World Cup since 2023. Career Vebjørn Sørum began his international career in 2017 at the Junior World Championships in Brezno. After finishing 39th in the individual event, 27th in the sprint, and making a remarkable comeback in the pursuit (8th place), he won the world title in the young men's relay, alongside Jorgen Krogsaeter and Sivert Guttorm Bakken. He was absent from the international competition the following season and made his IBU Cup debut in 2018, finishing 40th in the sprint in Idre. A few weeks later, he stepped onto his first podium after the mixed relay (with Karoline Knotten, Eline Grue, and Frederik Gjesbakk, securing third place). 2021–22 Biathlon IBU Cup
The 2021–22 Biathlon IBU Cup was a multi-race tournament over a season of biathlon, organised by the IBU. IBU Cup is the second-rank competition in biathlon after the Biathlon World Cup. The season started on 25 November 2021 in Idre, Sweden and ended on 13 March 2022 in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna, Italy. The defending overall champions from the 2020–21 Biathlon IBU Cup were Filip Fjeld Andersen from Norway and Vanessa Voigt from Germany. Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian and Belarusian biathletes are only allowed to compete under a neutral flag since the competition in Kontiolahti. Their performances are not included in the previous classifications of their countries. Previously, the Ukrainian national team announced the withdrawal from the biathlon competition by the end of the season. The 2023–24 Biathlon World Cup ''(official: BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon)'' was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union (IBU). It was the 47th edition for men and 42nd edition for women of the highest international race series in biathlon. Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen
Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen (born 12 May 1992) is a Norwegian biathlete. Early life Christiansen was born in Geilo, a centre in the municipality of Hol, to Randi Sjåstad and her husband Georg William Christiansen. His younger sister, Tiril Sjåstad Christiansen, is a successful freestyle skier. Christiansen began his career by racing in biathlon and cross-country skiing as a junior on the national level. In his youth, his greatest idol was Ole Einar Bjørndalen. Christiansen learned much about how to train from literature of and about Bjørndalen, and was inspired by Bjørndalen's training mentality, and started training a lot and hard, from a very early age. Johannes Thingnes Bø
Johannes Thingnes Bø (born 16 May 1993) is a Norwegian biathlete. He is the younger brother of biathlete Tarjei Bø. At the Olympic Games in Beijing 2022, they became the first siblings to have individual medals in the same biathlon event. Thingnes Bø has won the Biathlon World Cup in 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, and 2022/2023. Thingnes Bø is described as being powerful on his skis and is the third most successful male biathlete of all time in the World Cup with 66 individual World Cup victories, including victories at the Winter Olympic Games.
