Vasantha Geetha
''Vasantha Geetha'' is a 1980 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film, directed by the Dorai–Bhagavan duo. The film stars Rajkumar, Gayathri and Master Lohith. The story, lyrics and screenplay were written by Chi. Udaya Shankar. The movie saw a theatrical run of 25 weeks. A portion of the song ''Kannalle Eno'' from this movie was re-used in the title track of the 2010 movie '' Jackie''. Director S.K.Bhagwan had revealed that he was so impressed by an Iranian movie which he saw at an international film festival at New Delhi that he used the core plot of that movie as a reference point for the storyline of this movie. Dorai–Bhagavan
Dorai–Bhagavan were an Indian filmmaking duo consisting of directors B. Dorai Raj (died 2000) and S. K. Bhagavan (born 1933), active mainly in Kannada cinema. They directed fifty films, most of which starred Dr. Rajkumar, Rajkumar and were highly successful at box-office. Twenty-three of those films were based on novels. Bhagavan has been principal of Adarsha Film Institute, Bangalore. Film career S.K Bhagavan was born on 5 July 1933. He completed his schooling in Bangalore High school. Thoogudeepa Srinivas
Mysore Srinivas (17 April 1943 – 16 October 1995), known by his stage name Thoogudeepa Srinivas was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films and is remembered for his portrayal of negative-shaded characters. He is the father of actor, Darshan and film director Dinakar. Early life Srinivas was born to Muniswami and Parvathamma in 1943 as their fourth son. He had eight siblings. He lost his parents at a young age. Right from his childhood days, Srinivas was interested in theatre and cinema and was a regular participant in his school and college plays. During one of these plays, he caught the eye of another theatre artist M. P. Shankar, whom he later went on to star with in many Kannada films. Srinivas then became a regular member of Shankar's camp and had to discontinue his education during his pursuing of a Bachelor of Science from St. Philomena's College in Mysore. Jadalathimmanahalli Krishnappa Srinivasa Murthy (born 15 May 1949), known popularly as Srinivasa Murthy, is an Indian actor and television director.
