Vasant Shankar Davkhare was an Indian politician of the Nationalist Congress Party. He had been the Deputy Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council since 1998. Shiv Sena ( IAST: ''Śiva Sēnā'') () was a right-wing to far-right Marathi regionalist and Hindu ultranationalist political party in India founded in 1966 by cartoonist Bal Thackeray.
