Emanuel Vardi
Emanuel Vardi (21 April 1915 – 29 January 2011), an American Viola, violist, was considered to have been one of the great viola players of the 20th century. Early life Emanuel Vardi was born April 21, 1915 in Jerusalem. His mother, Anna Joffa Vardi, had a piano studio with many students and started Emanuel on piano at about age 3. His father, Joseph Vardi had a violin studio and also started his son out on his instrument at about the age of 3. The family came to the United States in 1920 via Paris, France, aboard a ship called "the Asia" to escape the pogroms in the Middle East. He continued studying both piano and violin until about age 7, when he forwent piano to focus on violin. He played Mozart's Fantasy in D-minor at a recital at age 9. The next day the ''New York Herald Tribune'' came out with an article by Charles Isaacson where he said, "Keep a lookout for this future pianist". Arie Vardi
Arie Vardi ( he, אריה ורדי; born 1937) is a classical pianist, conductor, and piano pedagogue. He is laureate of the Israel Prize in 2017. Biography Vardi was born in Tel Aviv and graduated from the Rubin Academy (renamed the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in 2005) and earned a law degree at Tel Aviv University. He obtained a soloist diploma from at City of Basel Music Academy. Among his music teachers were Paul Baumgartner (piano), Pierre Boulez and Karlheinz Stockhausen (composition). Joseph "Yossi" Vardi ( he, יוסי ורדי, born September 2, 1942) is an Israeli entrepreneur and investor. He is one of Israel's first high-tech entrepreneurs. For over 47 years he has founded and helped to build over 85 high-tech companies in a variety of fields, among them software, energy, Internet, mobile, electro-optics and water technology. Vardi (film)
''Vardi '' (trans: ''Police Uniform'') is a 1989 Bollywood action crime film directed by Umesh Mehra. It stars Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Kimi Katkar, Madhuri Dixit in pivotal roles. Plot When Inspector Verma arrests the criminal Lalchand, the latter exacts his revenge by kidnapping Verma's only son, Anil. He later informs Verma that he has killed the boy. While trying to apprehend Lalchand, Verma's loyal accomplice and friend, Havaldar Bhagwan Singh is killed by the criminal. Verma and his wife Shanti then decide to raise Bhagwan Singh's son Ajay as their own.
