Varde Bank
Varde is a Danish city in southwestern Jutland and is the primary city in the municipality of Varde, in Region of Southern Denmark. In 2015 municipality changed its motto to "We in nature" to emphasize its rural atmosphere. The town has an old market environment and is located by Varde stream/river and is a short distance away from the beaches by the North Sea. These features make it a tourist destination. The age of Varde is not known precisely, but it is mentioned in written sources from 1107 A.D. and is therefore thought have been founded sometime in the early Middle Ages. The history of Varde Early on the name of Varde is presented in 2 different versions "Warwath" and "Warwik." War is identical in both and is believed to mean grassland, maybe beach or in other ways uncultivated area. The suffixes "wath" and "wick" are believed to mean respectively ford and inlet. Blåvandshuk
BlÃ¥vandshuk is a headland on the North Sea coast of Jutland northwest of Esbjerg, and is the westernmost point of metropolitan Denmark. The BlÃ¥vand Lighthouse is the westernmost located building in Denmark. Natural Environment A significant portion of BlÃ¥vandshuk is marsh land, moor, dunes, and beaches. Because BlÃ¥vandshuk is on the coast and has a peninsula (''Skallingen'') which stretches to the southeast, it is surrounded by much water. To the northwest is the North Sea. To the southeast of ''Skallingen'' is Fanø Bay (''Fanø Bugt'') and the island Fanø. Beyond Fanø Bay is the Wadden Sea. Blaabjerg
Until January 1, 2007, Blaabjerg (Danish: BlÃ¥bjerg - literally blue mountain) was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Ribe County on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 254 km2, and had a total population of 6,509 (2005). Its latest mayor was Preben Olesen. The site of its municipal council was the town of Nørre Nebel. The municipality was created in 1970 due to a ("Municipality Reform") that combined the following parishes: Henne, Kvong, Lunde, Lydum, Lønne, Nørre Nebel, and Ovtrup Parish. Blaabjerg municipality ceased to exist due to ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007).
