Vantör Borough
Vantör () was a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') in the southern part of Stockholm, Sweden, until 1 January 2007. The districts that made up the borough were Bandhagen, Hagsätra, Högdalen, Rågsved and Örby. The population as of 2004 was 35,155 over an area of 8.30 km², giving it a density of 4,236/km². Boroughs Of Stockholm
Municipalities in Sweden are in some rare cases divided into smaller districts (sometimes translated ''boroughs'') or urban districts, and are sometimes assigned administrative boards responsible for certain areas of governance in their respective areas. These districts are not specified by national Swedish law, but rather are created by individual municipalities, and thus the Swedish names of these districts vary greatly from municipality to municipality, including kommundelar, stadsdelar, stadsdelområden, primärområden, or stadsdelsnämndsområden. The degree of administrative autonomy of these districts similarly varies greatly, but is normally very limited. On 1 January 2016 a new form of division of Sweden was introduced. Bandhagen
Bandhagen is a suburban district south of Stockholm with 6510 (2018) inhabitants. It is located in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör borough neighboring Högdalen, Stureby and Örby. The metro station with the same name was opened in 1954. Progressive metal band, Opeth Opeth is a Swedish progressive metal/rock band from Stockholm, formed in 1990 by lead vocalist David Isberg. Hagsätra
Hagsätra is a quarter in Söderort, the southern part of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. It borders with the quarters of Älvsjö, Örby and Rågsved in Stockholm, as well as Stuvsta in neighboring Huddinge Municipality. Hagsätra covers an area of 420 acres (1.7 km² or 0.66 mi2) and has a population of around 7,800. This area previously belonged to ''Älvsjö gård'' manor but was incorporated into Stockholm in 1930. But it wasn't until 1957 Hagsätra started expanding with modern houses and architecture. Hagsätra has a marketplace known as Hagsätra torg. Högdalen
Högdalen (the High Valley) is a suburban district in South Stockholm, Sweden, built around the metro station with this name on line 19. It was connected to Stockholm City Centre in 1954, three years after the town planning of the Högdalen district was approved. Högdalen (''High Valley'') is roughly divided between the residential and commercial areas near the metro station in the centre and the industrial area and landfill further to the east. The inhabitants tend to vote mostly for the Social Democrats and the Left Party (in the election of 2006, the left block won with 55,7% of the votes). As of 2006 7,862 people lived in Högdalen, distributed across an area of 2.01 km², which gives a density of 3,911/km². The unemployment rate was 4,9%. Rågsved
Rågsved is a suburb historically belonging to the district of Bandhagen in Stockholm, Sweden. History Rågsved remained uninhabited until the mid-1950s. In 1953 a development plan was set up for the area. Rågsveds centrum and Rågsved metro station on the Stockholm metro were built in 1955-1957. The first areas built were the neighborhoods of Snösätrahöjden and Bjursätrahöjden The neighbouring community of Hagsätra was formed in 1959. In the early years, Rågsved was mostly inhabited by expatriate workers from the inner city, particularly from Södermalm, and was considered state of the art in the late 1950s. For a long time it was populated by highly paid, affluent tenants. While Rågsved was built, an industrialization type of style dominated the construction, and this is visible at the houses located to the north of the subway. Enskede-Årsta Borough
Enskede-Årsta was a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') in the southern part of Stockholm, Sweden from 1998 to 1 January 2007. It was formed when the boroughs of Enskede and Årsta merged, and was primarily made up of Enskede ( Gård, -fältet, Gamla-) and Årsta. The other districts that made up the borough were Johanneshov, Stureby and Östberga. The population as of 2004 was 46,072 on an area of 12.72 km2, giving it a density of 3,622/km2.
