Charles Van Eaton
Charles S. Van Eaton (10 August 1889 – 13 February 1974) was an American politician and businessman. Early life and career Charles S. Van Eaton was born to parents Matthew Simpson and Pearl Derry Van Eaton in Tacoma, Washington, on 10 August 1889. The Van Eaton family moved to Iowa by the time Charles was three years old, and he spent time in Iowa, as well as western Canada, as a child. Van Eaton earned degrees from Iowa Business College in Council Bluffs and Graceland College in Lamoni in 1908 and 1911, respectively. Van Eaton acquired, owned and operated several business interests, among them a hardware store, furniture store, general store and funeral home in Pisgah, Iowa, and later opened an O. P. Skaggs franchise in Fremont, Nebraska, in 1928. He moved to Sioux City, Iowa, where he opened a chain of supermarkets in 1930, after divesting from his holdings in Fremont, Nebraska. Henry Smith Van Eaton
Henry Smith Van Eaton (September 14, 1826 – May 30, 1898) was an attorney, politician and military officer, reaching the rank of captain in the Confederate Army. He was elected from Mississippi's 6th congressional district as U.S. Representative, serving 1883 to 1887. Early life and education Van Eaton was born and raised in Anderson Township, Ohio. In 1848, he graduated from Illinois College, Jacksonville, Illinois, where he studied law. During this time, he became a founding member of Phi Alpha Literary Society. While an active member, he served as president and recording secretary. In 1848, at 22 years, Van Eaton moved to Woodville, Mississippi, where he taught school. In 1855, he was admitted to the bar and began practicing law in Woodville, Wilkinson County. In 1857, Van Eaton was elected district attorney. Guy Franklin Van Eaton
Guy Franklin Van Eaton (August 20, 1878 – January 9, 1950) was an American-born farmer and politician in Saskatchewan, Canada. He represented Shellbrook from 1945 to 1948 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) member. He was born in Iowa, grew up in South Dakota and continued his education in Tacoma, Washington. Lon & Derrek Van Eaton
Lon & Derrek Van Eaton were an American vocal and multi-instrumentalist duo from Trenton, New Jersey, consisting of brothers Lon and Derrek Van Eaton. They are best known for their association with the Beatles through the brothers' brief stint on Apple Records, and for their subsequent session work in Los Angeles for producer Richard Perry. As well as recording their own albums, during the 1970s they appeared on releases by artists including George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Harry Nilsson, Carly Simon, Martha Reeves and Art Garfunkel. Beatles biographer Robert Rodriguez describes the Van Eaton brothers as arguably the closest the Apple record label came to delivering on its initial promise of "plucking unknowns from obscurity" and launching them as successful recording artists.
