Hendrick Ter Brugghen
Hendrick Jansz ter Brugghen (or Terbrugghen) (1588 – 1 November 1629) was a Dutch painter of genre scenes and religious subjects. He was one of the Dutch followers of Caravaggio – the so-called ''Utrecht Caravaggisti''. Along with Gerrit van Hondhorst and Dirck van Baburen, Ter Brugghen was one of the most important Dutch painters to have been influenced by Caravaggio. Biography No references to Ter Brugghen written during his life have been identified. His father Jan Egbertsz ter Brugghen, originally from Overijssel, had moved to Utrecht, where he was appointed secretary to the Court of Utrecht by the Prince of Orange, William the Silent. He had been married to Sophia Dircx. In 1588, he became bailiff to the Provincial Council of Holland in The Hague, where Hendrick was born. Joannes Van Der Brugghen
Joannes van der Brugghen, known in France as Jean vander Bruggen, (1649 – c. 1693) was a Flemish painter, engraver, art dealer and publisher who was active in Antwerp and Paris. Life Joannes van der Brugghen engraved a self-portrait printed in Paris in 1689. The print states (''âgé de quarante ans'') that he was born in 1649 in Brussels. It is not clear with whom he trained, but he is registered as a master in the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke in 1679. John van Bruggen (born March 6, 1957) is a Canadian animator and writer. His wife, Arna Selznick, was the director of 1985's ''The Care Bears Movie''. He and Selznick were layout supervisors on its 1986 sequel. Harry Van Bruggen
Heinrich (Harry) Wilhelm Eduard van Bruggen (December 6, 1927 in Amsterdam – February 8, 2010 in Amersfoort) was a Dutch amateur botanist. Personal life After finishing secondary school, van Bruggen became an accountant, first in his uncle's company, later with Koninklijke Hoogovens, where he became the head of the Administration. In 1950 he married Anna Blom, with whom he had a son; she died in 1996. In April 2000 he remarried with Liesbeth Bakker. Van Bruggen was interested in nature already at a very young age, in particular in animals and plants in and around water. He sowed his first plants when he was 5-years old: ''Tagetes''.
