Vamsa Vilakku
''Vamsa Vilakku'' () is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by R. Krishnamoorthy and produced by S. R. Arulprakasam. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, K. R. Vijaya, Prabhu and M. N. Nambiar. The film had musical score by Gangai Amaran. The film was a remake of Hindi film ''Vidhaata''. Plot Sathyam (Sivaji Ganesan) lives with his police inspector son, Shankar (Prabhu), and pregnant daughter-in-law, Padma ( Nalini). Shankar attempts to arrest Jaganath ( M. N. Nambiar) and is killed in the process. Sathyam kills two of Jaganath's associates in retaliation and is now wanted by the police. As Padma also dies in childbirth, Sathyam takes his grandson Raja and goes on the run. He stumbles upon the attempted murder of notorious smuggler Tiger Baba and rescues him. Sivaji Ganesan
Villupuram Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy, better known by his stage name Sivaji Ganesan, (1 October 1928 – 21 July 2001) was an Indian actor and producer. He was active in Tamil cinema during the latter half of the 20th century. Sivaji Ganesan is acknowledged as one of the greatest Indian actors of all time and among the most imitated one by other actors. Prabhu Ganesan (born 25 December 1956), known professionally as Prabhu, is an Indian actor, businessman and film producer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan. He is popularly known as ''Ilaya Thilagam''. He has worked in more than 215 films in lead and supporting roles in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. He is the younger brother of noted music director Ilaiyaraaja and father of director and actor Venkat Prabhu and actor, composer and singer Premji Amaren. He had two more elder brothers, R. D.
