''Való Világ'' is a reality television, reality game show franchise developed by RTL Klub, Magyar RTL Televízió, the Hungarian branch of RTL Group to compete with ''Big Brother (Hungarian TV series), Big Brother.'' The first season of ''Való Világ'' launched on 11 September 2002, and has been followed by seven more seasons, as well as a Czech and a Slovakian incarnation from 2005, both titled ''VyVolení.'' In 2015, Magyar RTL Televízió purchased the rights to produce the Hungarian version of ''Big Brother'' and announced to merge the two formats under the name ''Való Világ powered by Big Brother.'' Versions Through 11 December 2016, ''Való Világ'' has produced 14 winners in three franchises. ''Való Világ'' (lit. Real World) is Hungary's reality show aired by RTL (Hungarian TV channel), RTL. ValóVilág became the most popular Hungarian reality television program ever. The show was aired in the same time slot as the localized version of ''Big Brother (Hungary), Big Brother''. While TV2 (Hungary), TV2 recorded the highest number of viewers in 2002, ''Való Világ 1'' had an average of 1.5 million. In 2003, ''Való Világ 2'' was a breakthrough. While it had 1.75 million viewers daily, ''Big Brother 2'' recorded only 800,000 viewers. RTL started the third season, which was an absolute success with 2.06 million viewers daily. The first three seasons were broadcast between 2002 and 2004 but returned in November 2010 for the fourth season after years of hiatus. In the sixth season, it was transferred to the newly launched channel RTL Kettő. For the seventh season in Autumn 2014, RTL Kettő remained the host. András Stohl
Stohl András (born February 23, 1967) is a Hungarian actor. Career Stohl graduated from the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest in 1990. He became a member of the Katona József Theatre in Budapest. In 2001 he became a freelancer, after the leadership of the theater decided that his work on television was irreconcilable with the theatre's artistic concept. TV JOJ is a Slovak private TV channel owned by J&T Enterprises and launched in March 2002. The channel screens serial dramas and TV shows. History It was launched on 2 March 2002 as a successor of the TV Global, which had been broadcasting since March 2000. The station's first slogan was "Nuda na Slovensku skončila" - "Boredom in Slovakia has finished". TV JOJ was built by former head of the Czech channel TV Nova, Vladimír Železný, when he was at war with TV Nova's U.S. investor Central European Media Enterprises (CME). Through Joj, Železný wanted to shake the dominance of CME's station in Slovakia, TV Markíza, which was enjoying almost 50 percent of the country's nationwide audience. RTL Kettő (formerly RTL II) is a Hungarian commercial television channel, owned by RTL Group. It is rivaling with Super TV2 and Viasat3. The channel launched on 1 October 2012.
