Valter Drandić
Valter Drandić (born August 7, 1956) is a Croatian politician, member of the Istria County Assembly and a member of the European Committee of the Regions. He was in the Sabor for two terms from February 2000 to December 2003 and from December 2003 to January 2008. He graduated from technical school and studied economics and tourism in University of Rijeka. He passed the professional exams for the expert associate for informatics and for the organizer of automatic data processing at the Republic Committee for Science, Technology and Informatics in Zagreb. He was elected a member of the Istrian County Assembly six times (1993, 1997, 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2021), and in 2013 and 2017 he was elected President of the Assembly. By decision of the Croatian Government, on December 11, 2019 he was appointed member of the European Committee in the region mandate 2020th to 2025th. The most recent enlargement of the European Union saw Croatia become the European Union's 28th member state on 1 July 2013. The country applied for EU membership in 2003, and the European Commission recommended making it an official candidate in early 2004. Candidate country status was granted to Croatia by the European Council in mid-2004. The entry negotiations, while originally set for March 2005, began in October that year together with the screening process. Boris Miletić
Boris Miletić (; born 2 September 1975) is a Croatian economist and politician who has been List of prefects of Istria County, prefect of Istria County since 2021 and president of the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) from 2014 to 2021. ''La Voce del Popolo'' () is an Italian-language daily newspaper published by ''EDIT'' (''EDizioni ITaliane'') in the Croatian city of Rijeka. The following is a list of all 422 of the Chief Executives of Pula ordered by the dates of their mayoral terms which are put in parentheses. Pula has a complex history, as the city was governed by different countries with different forms of government in different epochs. In classical antiquity, Pula was inhabited by the Histri, a Venetic or Illyrian tribe. It was conquered by the Romans in 177 BC, whereafter followed a period of Romanization. The town was elevated to colonial rank between 46 and 45 BC as the tenth region of the Roman Republic, under Julius Caesar. In the 5th century it was conquered and occupied by the Visigoths and then Ostrogoths. In the second half of the 6th century the Slavs started their occupation of the Istrian peninsula. The Croatian Parliament ( hr, Hrvatski sabor) or the Sabor is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of Croatia. Under the terms of the Croatian Constitution, the Sabor represents the people and is vested with legislative power. The Sabor is composed of 151 members elected to a four-year term on the basis of direct, universal and equal suffrage by secret ballot. Seats are allocated according to the Croatian Parliament electoral districts: 140 members of the parliament are elected in multi-seat constituencies.
