Valter Heuer
Valter Heuer (14 July 1928, Elva, Estonia – 2 March 2006, Jämejala, Estonia) was an Estonian writer and chess player, who won the Estonian Chess Championship. He was awarded the Soviet Master title in 1960. Chess career In 1960 Valter Heuer became a Soviet Master after won classification match against German Fridshtein — 7½ : 1½ (+6 −0 =3). He won the Estonian Chess Championship in 1976, finished second in 1962 and finished third in 1961. In 1981 Heuer won the Estonian Rapid Chess Championship. Heuer has played for Estonia five times in the Soviet Team Chess Championships (1953, 1955, 1962, 1963, 1975), and once played for the Estonian team "Kalev" in the Soviet Team Chess Cup (1966). Valter Soosõrv (also Sooserv; 3 April 1903 in Vahastu – 26 June 1969 in Tallinn) is an Estonian actor, director and theatre historian. In 1927 he graduated from the Drama Studio theatre school. 1922-1925 he was a choir singer at Estonia Theatre. 1925–1927 he played at Estonian Drama Studio Theatre, and 1927–1928 in Endla Theatre. 1932-1933 he was the head of Ugala Theatre. 1948-1951 he was the head of Estonian Theatre and Music Museum. Valter or Walter Roman (October 9, 1913 – November 11, 1983), born Ernst or Ernő Neuländer, was a Romanian communist activist and soldier. During his lifetime, Roman was active inside the Romanian, Czechoslovakian, French, and Spanish Communist partiesMihailov as well as being a Comintern cadre.
