Valledupar Fútbol Club is a professional Colombian football team based in Valledupar, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera B. They play their home games at the Estadio Armando Maestre Pavajeau. History The club was founded on 15 November 2003 and entered Categoría Primera B in 2004, replacing Dimerco Real Popayán which was not allowed to compete for financial problems and folded at the end of 2003. In their first campaign in the Colombian second tier, Valledupar made it to the semifinal stage, in which they were eliminated from contention and played a controversial game on the final matchday against Real Cartagena, conceding four goals in the final five minutes of play to allow the latter side to qualify for the tournament's final. Estadio Armando Maestre Pavajeau
The Estadio Armando Maestre Pavajeau is a football stadium in Valledupar, Colombia. It has a capacity of 11,000 and is the home stadium of Alianza F.C. It also hosted Valledupar F.C. from 2004 to its folding in 2023. The stadium was named after Armando Maestre Pavajeau, a former governor of Cesar Department, and was renovated between 2014 and 2016. Besides hosting matches of the domestic football leagues Categoría Primera A and Categoría Primera B, it has also hosted the 2015 South American U-15 Championship and the 2022 Bolivarian Games. Erik Andrés Moreno Serna (born 24 November 1991) is a Colombian footballer who plays as a forward for Maltese side St. Lucia.
