Copa Colombia
The Copa Colombia ( en, Colombia Cup, link=yes); officially known as Copa BetPlay Dimayor is an annual football tournament in Colombia. It is contested by the 36 professional clubs of DIMAYOR and is the nation's domestic cup competition, equivalent to the FA Cup in England or the Copa del Rey in Spain. The Copa Colombia was played for the first time in 1950, and it has been played consecutively since its revival in 2008. The most successful club is Atlético Nacional, with four titles. Millonarios are the current holders, who won their third Copa Colombia against Junior, winning the final series by a 2–1 aggregate score. 2009 Copa Colombia
The 2009 Copa Colombia football tournament, officially the 2009 Copa Postobón for sponsorship reasons, was the seventh edition of the Copa Colombia, the national football cup competition for clubs of Colombia's DIMAYOR league. It began on March 4 and ended on November 18. Santa Fe won the tournament for their 2nd title. Format The format for 2009 remains the same as last year's. Once Caldas S.A., simply known as Once Caldas, is a professional Colombian football team based in Manizales, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera A. They play their home games at the Palogrande stadium. They were the surprise winners of the Copa Libertadores in 2004. The club was founded in 1961 after the merger of Deportes Caldas and Deportivo Manizales (also known as Once Deportivo). The 2008 Copa Colombia, officially the 2008 Copa Postobón for sponsorship reasons, was the sixth edition of the Copa Colombia, the football tournament for professional clubs in Colombia. This edition marked the return of the tournament after a 19-year absence. It began on March 12 and ended on November 19.
