Valeriu Pantazi
Valeriu Pantazi (born Pantazie Valeriu Constantinescu on 17 May 1940 – 25 July 2015) was a Romanian poet, writer, and painter. He was born in Urechești (at the time in Râmnicu Sărat County, now in Vrancea County), the son of Octavian Constantinescu and Maria Oprescu. He completed his secondary education at the Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu High School in Buzău. Pantazi died in Bucharest and is buried at Străulești Cemetery. Urechești, Vrancea
Urechești is a commune located in Vrancea County, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Urechești. It also included Popești and Terchești villages until 2003, when they were split off to form Popești Commune. Eugen Barbu
Eugen Barbu (; 20 February 1924 – 7 September 1993) was a Romanian modern novelist, short story writer, journalist, and correspondent member of the Romanian Academy. The latter position was vehemently criticized by those who contended that he plagiarized in his novel ''Incognito'' and for the anti-Semitic campaigns he initiated in the newspapers '' Săptămâna'' and ''România Mare'' which he founded and led. He also founded, alongside his disciple Corneliu Vadim Tudor, the nationalist Greater Romania Party (PRM). His most famous writings are the novels ''Groapa'' (1957) and ''Principele'' (1969).Călin Barbu's prose, in which the influence of neorealism has been noted, drew comparison to the works of Mateiu Caragiale, Tudor Arghezi, and Curzio Malaparte. Iași ( , , ; also known by other alternative names), also referred to mostly historically as Jassy ( , ), is the second largest city in Romania and the seat of Iași County. Făgăraș Citadel
Făgăraș Citadel ( ro, Cetatea Făgărașului , hu, Fogarasi vár, german: Fogarascher Burg) is a historic monument in Făgăraș, Brașov County, Romania. The construction of the fortress started in 1310, on the site of a wooden fortification with earth ramparts from the 12th century. Archeological research shows that the old fortification was violently destroyed around the middle of the 13th century, presumably in connection with the Mongol invasion of 1241. Located halfway between Brașov and Sibiu and close to Wallachia, the Făgăraș Citadel provided a defensive position against possible incursions into south-eastern Transylvania. Buzău
The city of Buzău (formerly spelled ''Buzeu'' or ''Buzĕu''; ) is the county seat of Buzău County, Romania, in the historical region of Muntenia. It lies near the right bank of the Buzău River, between the south-eastern curvature of the Carpathian Mountains and the lowlands of Bărăgan Plain. Buzău is a railway hub in south-eastern Romania, where railways that link Bucharest to Moldavia and Transylvania to the Black Sea coast meet. DN2, a segment of European route E85 crosses the city. Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu National College
The Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu National College is an important high school in Buzău, Romania. It was named after the Romanian scholar and historian Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu. Founded in 1867, it is the oldest state-funded high-school in Buzău. Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu is a theoretical high school, with students ranging between grades 9 and 12, but it also has a small number of middle school classes. There are of approximately 1500 students aged between 11 and 19 years old.
