Valerie Hart
Valerie Paul Hart (March 13, 1933February 26, 2021) was an indigenous political leader from the Wapishana ethnic group and a member of Guyana's Amerindian Party, opposed to the Forbes Burnham government; she ran for the 1968 general elections, although she wasn't elected. She was exiled after participating in the Rupununi uprising. Personal life Valerie got her last name from her husband (Harry Hart) who was a pilot with whom she had five children. Both Valerie and her husband participated in the celebrations of the Independence of Guyana in 1966 in an aerobatic display. Separatist movement Being a member of Guyana's Amerindian Party along with her husband's family, she was present at the First Conference of Amerindians Leaders, named the ''Cabacaburi Congress'', that presented several demands to the Prime Minister Forbes Burnham representing the community of around 40,000 indigenous people of the region. Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo
Upper Takutu-Upper Esequibo (Region 9) is a Regions of Guyana, region of Guyana. Venezuela claims the territory as part of Bolívar (state) in Guayana Esequiba, Esequiban Guyana. It borders the region of Potaro-Siparuni to the north, the region of East Berbice-Corentyne to the east and Brazil to the south and west. Reinaldo Leandro Mora
Reinaldo Leandro Mora (May 23, 1920 – November 4, 2013) was a Venezuelan educator and politician. He was part of Acción Democrática. He was deputy Minister of Education between January and March 1961 and got his official designation as Minister from March 1961 to 1964, under President Rómulo Betancourt administration (1959-1964). Under President Raúl Leoni administration (1964-1969) he was the Venezuelan Plenipotentiary Ambassador in the Vatican. From 1966 to 1969, he was Minister of Internal Affairs. He was Senator in the former Venezuelan bicameral Congress (until 1999), and President of the Senate of Venezuela from 1984 to 1989.
