Valerie Domínguez Tarud (born January 12, 1981) is a Colombians, Colombian actress, model, designer and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Colombia 2005 and represented her country at Miss Universe 2006 where she finished in the Top 10. Early life She also studied fashion design in Milan, Italy and is a jewelry designer in Colombia. Pageantry Dominguez competed at Miss Colombia 2005 where she won and gained the right to represent Colombia at and competed at Miss Universe 2006 in Los Angeles. Domínguez finished in the Top 10. Career Valerie is also widely recognized thanks to her television appearances, and made her debut as Marianne Sajir in "Hasta que la plata nos separe". She also started to enter the Colombian film industry, in the role of Manuela for the film "Esto huele mal" by Jorge Ali Triana. Atlántico Department
Atlántico (, en, Atlantic) is a department of Colombia, located in northern Colombia with the Caribbean Sea to its north, the Bolívar Department to its west and south separated by the Canal del Dique, and the Magdalena Department to its east separated by the Magdalena River. Lebanese Colombian
Lebanese Colombians are Colombians of Lebanese descent. Most of the Lebanese community's forebears immigrated to Colombia from the Ottoman Empire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for economic, political and religious reasons. The first Lebanese moved to Colombia in the late nineteenth century. There was another wave in the early twentieth century. It is estimated that over 10,000 Lebanese immigrated to Colombia from 1900 to 1930. Many Lebanese settled in the Caribbean region of Colombia, particularly in the cities of Cartagena, Santa Marta, Lorica, San Andrés (island), Fundación, Aracataca, Ayapel, Calamar, Ciénaga, Cereté, Montería and Barranquilla, near the basin of the Magdalena River. Eileen Roca Miss Colombia (Formally ''Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Colombia'', English: ''"National Beauty Contest of Colombia"'') is the national beauty pageant organization in Colombia. The current Miss Colombia is Sofía Osío Luna of Atlántico, who was crowned on 14 November 2022. Pageant rules Colombia has rigid and strict rules regarding participation of any Miss Universe preliminary aspirant: once a contestant registers for the pageant, she is confined to her own Department and cannot move or relocate to other states/provinces.
