Valamara
The Valamara ( sq, Mali i Valamarës; rup, Valea Mari) is a mountain of the Central Mountain Range (Albania), Central Mountain Range in Southeastern Albania. Geography The mountain is roughly part of a series of mountains, extending from north-northeast to south-southwest between the valleys of Shkumbin in the north and Devoll (river), Devoll in the south. It is one of the highest peaks in the European continent, in terms of topographic prominence. There is a rich evidence of previous glaciation in the highest parts of the mountains as glaciers covered the mountains and created its cirque-shaped lakes and depressions. There are at least eight glacial lakes across the mountain range. The eastern edge of the mountain gives rise to several rivers amongst them the third longest river of the country, the Shkumbin. Central Mountain Range (Albania)
The Central Mountain Range ( sq, Krahina Malore Qëndrore) is a physiogeographical region encompassing the central and eastern edge of Albania. It comprises the mountainous inland extending all the way from the valley of Drin and the mountains of Sharr, Skanderbeg, Korab, and Shebenik- Jabllanicë, through the lakes of Ohrid and Prespa, until it reaches the village of Ersekë and the mountains of Pindus close to the border between the country and Greece. Grabovë e Sipërme (also: ''Grabova''; rup, Greãva, ) is a village in Albania inhabited by Albanians Aromanians. The village is located in the former municipality of Lenie. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Gramsh. History Grabova was a medieval town created in the 10th century. Aromanians have left Grabova on several occasions, although the village has never been completely deserted. Pogradec
Pogradec () is the eleventh most populous city in Albania and the capital of the eponymous municipality. It is located on a narrow plain between two mountain chains along the southwestern banks of the Lake of Ohrid. Its climate is profoundly influenced by a seasonal Mediterranean and Continental climate. The total population is 61,530, of which 20,848 in the municipal unit (the pre-2015 municipality) Pogradec (2011 census).
