Vaidehi Kalyanam
''Vaidehi Kalyanam'' () is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Manivasagam. The film stars R. Sarathkumar, Rekha, Ramarjun and Uthra, with Delhi Ganesh, Goundamani, Senthil, Ilavarasan and Kavitha playing supporting roles. It was released on 11 July 1991. Plot Rajamanickam is the village chief and he is respected among the villagers. He has two daughters : Gowri and Vaidehi. Gowri is married to a rich drunkard who beats her while Vaidehi is a college student. Later, Rajamanickam's servant Chinnasamy and Vaidehi fall in love with each other. In the meantime, the doctor Krishnamoorthy comes to Rajamanickam's village and Rajamanickam loans him a clinic. The school teacher Vasanthi has a boy but has no husband, they live near Kalyanam's house. Vasanthi advises Kalyanam to not elope with Vaidehi but to marry her with Rajamanickam's blessing. Manivasagam
Manivasagam (died 2001) was an Indian people, Indian film director, producer and screenwriter who worked on Tamil films. Career Manivasagam began his career with ''Namma Ooru Poovatha'' (1990) and continued to work on village action dramas, often collaborating with actor Sarath Kumar. He often produced his own films, and credited his wife, Rajeswari Manivasagam, as the chief producer. The failure of his film, ''Nadodi Mannan (1995 film), Nadodi Mannan'' (1995), prompted the director to take a break from directing films. His final release was ''Mappillai Gounder'' (1997) which also opened to negative reviews and performed poorly at the box office. Manivasagam died in 2001. A ''raga'' or ''raag'' (; also ''raaga'' or ''ragam''; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil language, Tamil-language Weekly (news magazine), weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil language, Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Kalki Sadasivam, T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as ''Ponniyin Selvan'' and ''Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. In 1999, eight years after the group's founder Ramnath Goenka's death in 1991, the group was split between the family members. The southern editions took the name ''The New Indian Express'', while the northern editions, based in Mumbai, retained the original ''Indian Express'' name with ''"The"'' prefixed to the title. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child.
