Vafa Hakhamaneshi (born 27 March 1991) is an Iranian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Malaysia Super League club Negeri Sembilan and the Iran national team. Club career Earlier career Hakhamaneshi joined Naft Tehran in 2011, having spent the 2009–2010 season at Sepahan Novin in the Azadegan League before joining Foolad Natanz in 2010. He won the 2013–14 Iran Pro League with Foolad. Hakhamaneshi made three appearances for Thai League 1 side Ratchaburi Mitr Phol F.C. in the AFC Champions League. Chennaiyin In June 2022, Hakhamaneshi moved to Indian Super League club Chennaiyin on a one-year deal. On 1 September, he scored a goal from a header on his club debut against TRAU in the Durand Cup, which ended in a 4–1 win. Gonbad-e Kavus ( fa, گنبد کاووس, Gonbade Kâvus) is a city in Golestan province, Iran. The modern name, meaning "the tower of Kavus", is a reference to the most imposing ancient monument in the city. The historic name cannot now be restored, because it was assigned to the neighboring historical city of Astarabad in the 1930s by the Iranian government. The 2022 Durand Cup, also known as IndianOil Durand Cup due to sponsorship ties with Indian Oil Corporation, was the 131st edition of Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia, and also the first edition since it was recognised by the Asian Football Confederation. The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. The Azadegan League ( fa, ليگ آزادگان, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 ( fa, لیگ یک, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran.
