Aalborg
Aalborg (, , ) is Denmark's fourth largest town (behind Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense) with a population of 119,862 (1 July 2022) in the town proper and an urban population of 143,598 (1 July 2022). As of 1 July 2022, the Municipality of Aalborg had a population of 221,082, making it the third most populous in the country after the municipalities of Copenhagen and Aarhus. Henrik Bo Nielsen
Henrik Bo Nielsen (born 23 April 1961) is a Danish arts administrator. In December 2018 he was presented as the new Executive Director, DR Culture, Children and Youth ( DR). He was CEO of ROMU, an umbrella organisation for 10 museums in the Roskilde area from 2017 to 2019. He was CEO of Dagbladet Information from 1991 to 2007 and of the Danish Film Institute from 2007 to 2017. Biography Nielsen was born in Vadum close to Aalborg on 23 April 1961. He graduated from Aalborg Katedralskole in 1980 and later began to study law. He became the leader of a language school in Aalborg when he was 22 and was later transferred to its headquarters in Copenhagen. He was CEO of Dagbladet Information from 1991 to 2007. North Jutland Region
The North Jutland Region ( da, Region Nordjylland), or in some official sources, the North Denmark Region, is an administrative region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish municipal reform, which abolished the traditional counties () and set up five larger regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the number of municipalities from 271 before 1 January 2006, when Ærø Municipality was created, to 98. Statistics Denmark ( da, Danmarks Statistik) is a Danish governmental organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Housing and which reports to the Minister of Economic and Internal Affairs. The organization is responsible for creating statistics on the Danish society, for example employment statistics, trade balance, and demographics. Roskilde Museum
Roskilde Museum is a local history museum based in Roskilde, Denmark. The museum, which is run by the municipalities of Roskilde, Frederikssund and Lejre, has eight separate branches. The main branch in Roskilde, on the corner of Sankt Olsgade and Sankt Olsstræde, is based in two listed buildings, the Sugar House and the Liebe House, a former sugar refinery and a former merchant's house respectively. History The Sugar House The sugar house was built by a consortium led by Johan Jørgen Holst as a facility for the processing of raw sugar from the Danish West Indies. The other investors, a combination of businessmen from Copenhagen and local merchants, were members of his family. The sugar company also had its own ship, Roskilde Ark.
