Laura De Vaan
Laura de Vaan (born 11 August 1980 in Uden) is a Dutch Paralympian who competes in handcycle events. de Vaan has appeared in two Summer Paralympics, 1998 in Beijing and 2012 in London. In the London Games she won silver in the H4 women's road race and Bronze in the H4 time trial. Personal history De Vaan was born in Uden in 1980. She was educated at Heythuysen High School and in 1998 matriculated to Nijmegen University where she studied Dutch Language and Literature. In 1996, she was left requiring a wheelchair after missing the last step of a flight of stairs. It was only after her accident that she was diagnosed with Complex regional pain syndrome and although she has some mobility in her legs. Cycling career De Vaan took to Handbiking in 2004, and in 2005 entered her first competitive race in the Open European Championship where she took bronze in both the Road Race and the Time Trial. Michiel De Vaan
Michiel Arnoud Cor de Vaan (; born 1973) is a Dutch linguist and Indo-Europeanist. He taught comparative Indo-European linguistics, historical linguistics and dialectology at the University of Leiden until 2014, when he moved to the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. De Vaan had been at the University of Leiden since 1991, first as a student and later as a teacher. He has published extensively on Limburgian, Dutch, Germanic, Albanian, Indo-Iranian and Indo-European linguistics and philology. He has published more than 100 papers, has written several books and has edited conference proceedings and a handbook of Indo-European. Vaan Nguyen
Vaan Nguyen ( he, ואן נויין; born Nguyễn Thị Hồng Vân; April 18, 1982) is an Israel, Israeli poet, Actor, actress, journalist and Activism, social activist. Early life Nguyen is the daughter of Vietnamese refugees, who were part of a group called the Vietnamese boat people. They escaped Vietnam after the end of the Vietnam War, in 1977, after her grandfather was killed by the communist authorities. The boat was wrecked on the Philippines shore, but they were denied entry, and were interned in a refugee camp. In 1979, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin granted 180 Vietnamese refugees Israeli citizenship, Nguyen's parents among them. They were settled in the desert town of Sderot, but moved from place to place for several years. Nguyen was born during this time, in the southern city of Ashkelon. Vaan River
The Vaan River is a river of central India. It is tributary of Purna River, which is major tributary of Tapti River. It is also spelled as Wan or Van. It is also known as Waanganga. Description It rises in the Gawilgarh hills of eastern Satpura Range in Amravati District of Maharashtra state, and flows southward, draining Amravati, Akola and Buldhana region before emptying into the Purna River in Buldhana District of Maharashtra. The watershed lies mostly in these three districts of Maharashtra state. There is a dam on the river, Wan Dam at Wari in Akola. The following villages are located on the banks of Vaan river, Wari Bhairaogad, Warkhed, Sagoda, Danapur, Wadgaon Pr Adgaon, Kolad, Kated, Kakanwada Bk, Kakanwada Kh, Wankhed, Paturda. Vaan (Final Fantasy)
is a fictional character in the ''Final Fantasy'' series from Square Enix. Created by Yasumi Matsuno and designed by Akihiko Yoshida, he first appeared in ''Itadaki Street Special'' and then appeared in ''Final Fantasy XII'' as the protagonist. ''Final Fantasy XII'' establishes Vaan as an orphaned teenager from Rabanastre who dreams of becoming a sky pirate. He and his best friend Penelo join Dalmasca Princess Ashe in her fight against the tyranny of the Archadian Empire.
