V Gymnasium
The Fifth Gymnasium ( hr, V. gimnazija, Peta gimnazija) is a high school in Zagreb, Croatia specialising in science and mathematics. It was opened on 7 November 1938. Today it has about 900 students in 28 classes. It is considered to be the most prestigious gymnasium in Zagreb alongside the XV Gymnasium. Students are known for often excelling in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, Latin, computer science, history, geography and logic. Also, students have taken part in the International Mathematical Olympiad and the International Chemistry Olympiad, where they have received various medals, and also the International Physics Olympiad. Zoran Čutura
Zoran Čutura (born 12 March 1962 in Zagreb) is a former Croatian basketball player. After ending his professional basketball career he started working as a sports journalist and columnist. Professional career Čutura started playing basketball in his hometown Zagreb. His first club was the second division club Industromontaža where he spent three years. In 1981 he joined the Zagreb powerhouse Cibona where Mirko Novosel was starting to build the future European champion team with players like the veteran Krešimir Ćosić, Aleksandar Petrović, Dražen Petrović, Andro Knego, Ivo Nakić and Branko Vukićević. Education in Croatia is a right defended by Article 66 of the Constitution which states that everyone is entitled to free compulsory education under equal conditions and in accordance with their aptitudes. Žarko Puhovski (born 15 December 1946) is a Croatian professor, political analyst, philosopher and intellectual, former president of the Croatian Helsinki Committee. Biography Puhovski was born in Zagreb on 15 December 1946. He was born to a Jewish mother although he has never been an active Jew. Sven Medvešek (born 1965) is a Croatian actor and director. Establishing himself as both a leading man and character actor, Medvešek's best-known film roles include Lukas in ''Slow Surrender'' (2001), Rafael in ''Winter in Rio'' (2002), Marin Držić in ''Libertas'' (2006) and Filip in ''The Show Must Go On'' (2010).
