VC Zellik
VC Zellik (Volleybalclub Zellik) was a Belgian former professional volleyball club from the urbanised town of Zellik. History In the 90s Zellik under the sponsorship name Maes pils was played at Belgian volleyball top level. In 1992, 1993 and 1994, the club won three successive league titles in the national league. Zellik was the first Belgian club which got through to the final four of the European Champions Cup. The club succeeded three times in a row. In the season 1993-1994 was the third club in this championsleague volleyball clubs. The final was that season missed by a 1-3 loss against il Messaggero Ravenna in the semifinals. Maes Pils
Maes pils is a Belgian pils brewed by Alken-Maes. The beer was first produced in 1930 for Antwerp's Universal Exposition and called Prima Maezenbier. After Jupiler and Stella Artois, it is the third best-selling pilsner in Belgium. In 2008, Alken-Maes was taken over by the Dutch Heineken Brewery. In 2009, Alken-Maes changed the recipe of Maes Pils, resulting in a slight change in taste and a rise in the percentage of alcohol from 4.9% to 5.2%. CEV Champions League
The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split in to 5 groups.
