FC Gladsaxe, previously VB 1968 is a football club based in , Bagsværd, Denmark. Founded in 1968, the club describes itself as multicultural and working towards integration through football. In January 2024, changed the club its name to FC Gladsaxe. History Foundation VB 1968 was established on 15 October 1968, around the same time as the public housing project in the Copenhagen-suburb Bagsværd, was completed. Since Tom Fogelberg's arrival in Værebroparken, he had been contemplating the idea of founding Værebro Boldklub due to his keen interest in football. However, the inception of Værebro Boldklub originated from a community meeting discussing available land for development. During this meeting, some young individuals suggested the formation of a football club. Bagsværd
Bagsværd () is a middle-class suburb located approximately 12 km northwest of central Copenhagen, in the Gladsaxe Municipality. The town center is recognizable by the Bagsværd Towers, two high-rise apartment blocks. The suburb is connected to the Danish S-Train network through the H and B lines, who service three stations in Bagsværd: Skovbrynet, Bagsværd, and Stengården. André Riel
André Riel (; born 21 October 1989) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a striker for VB 1968. Career Early years Riel began his senior career in HIK before moving the Faroese club B36 Tórshavn in 2009, where he spent six months. He subsequently bounced around in the lower divisions of Danish football, playing for BSV, Fremad Amager, Vendsyssel FF, and FC Helsingør. Riel experienced his breakthrough in Helsingør, and his 17 goals in 32 appearances in the 2016–17 season in the second tier helped the club secure promotion to the Danish Superliga after two decisive play-off matches against Viborg FF in June 2017. In the following season, Riel scored 4 goals in 7 appearances in the Superliga for Helsingør, before signing with AGF on deadline-day of the 2017 summer transfer window. Osama Akharraz
Osama Akharraz (born 26 November 1990) is a Danish footballer who plays as a winger for Denmark Series club VB 1968. Club career Brøndby Akharraz joined Brøndby IF in 2008 from BK Frem. He played his first match for the club on 30 October 2008 against Holstebro Boldklub in a Danish Cup game. In early January 2009, he agreed a contract extension with the club and was promoted to the first team squad. He made his league debut for Brøndby on 17 April 2011 in a 2–1 home defeat against Aalborg BK. Ricki Olsen
Ricki Olsen (born 21 October 1988) is a Danish professional footballer. He is the son of the former Denmark national team player Lars Olsen. Career Olsen started his career with Brøndby IF, but did not play any senior games for the team. Randers FC signed Olsen from Brøndby IF in the summer of 2008. Olsen got his first match on 26 October against Aalborg BK. Olsen played 75 minutes before being replaced by teammate Alain Behi. Kim Engel Aabech (; born 31 May 1983) is a Danish footballer who plays for GVI. His father is former Danish international Hans Aabech.
