''Usha Parinayam'' was a film adaptation of the play Usha Parinayam. It was made by Kadaru Nagabhushanam under Rajarajeswari films. It starred Tadepalli Lakshmi Kanta Rao as Anirudha, S. V. Kadaru Nagabhushanam
Kadaru Nagabhushanam or K. B. Nagabhushanam (1902 – 18 October 1976) was an Indian film director and producer in the 1940s to 1960s, working in Telugu and Tamil cinema. He was the husband of P. Kannamba. They established Rajarajeshwari Films and produced many mythological films starring Kannamba in the lead role including ''Harischandra''. Their social film ''Navajeevanam'' on untouchability got the recognition of Madras State and was chosen as the best feature film. Uṣā
Usha (Sanskrit: उषा, IAST: Uṣā) is a character in Hindu mythology. She is the daughter of the asura king Banasura and the wife of Aniruddha, the grandson of Krishna. Her story of falling in love with Aniruddha and wedding him is described in the Bhagavata Purana. Legend One day, Usha saw a young man in her dream, made love to him, and fell in love with him. Chitralekha, a friend of Usha a talented artist, helped Usha to identify the young man seen in her dream by sketching various portraits of the Vrishnis. Pithapuram Nageswara Rao (5 May 1930 – 5 March 1996) was an Indian playback singer who worked in the early period of Telugu cinema. He sang thousands of songs, mostly of a comedic nature, in the 1950s and 1960s along with Madhavapeddi Satyam and others. He also sang for a couple of movies in Kannada. Ghantasala Venkateswararao (4 December 1922 – 11 February 1974), known mononymously by his surname as Ghantasala, was an Indian playback singer and film composer known for his works predominantly in Telugu and Kannada cinema and also in Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi language films. He is considered as one of the greatest singers of Telugu cinema. In 1970, he received the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian award for his contribution to Indian cinema. Mikkilineni Radhakrishna Murthy (7 July 1914 - 23 February 2011) was an Indian actor and thespian known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Mukkamala Krishna Murthy (1920–1987), known mononymously by his surname as Mukkamala (Telugu: ముక్కామల), was a lawyer turned actor who was active in Telugu films in the 1950s and the 1960s. Chitralekha () is a friend of Uṣā, and the daughter of a minister of Banasura, who ruled from his capital of Śoṇitapura. She employs her magical powers to unite Uṣā with her lover, Aniruddha. Legend The daughter of Banasura, Uṣā, once dreamt of Aniruddha, the grandson of Krishna. Uṣā fell in love with the youth, despite not knowing his identity. The following morning, after hearing her friend's tale and observing her gloom, Chitralekha made portraits of many known charming princes, but Uṣā was unable to identify them as the youth of her dream.
