''Urix'' is a foreign affairs television newsmagazine aired Monday to Thursday night on the Norwegian television channel NRK2, a subsidiary channel of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). The first show aired on 2 September 2002, and is produced by the same crew as Dagsrevyen. The title is a play on the word ''Utenriks'', meaning "foreign (affairs)". Former presenters include Christian Borch, Annette Groth, Bjørn Hansen, Sigrun Slapgard and Gunnar Myklebust. Bjørn Hansen (journalist)
Bjørn Hansen (born 12 October 1938) is a Norwegian journalist. In Norway, he is well known as an experienced news presenter and correspondent, having worked for the Norwegian state-owned radio and television public broadcasting company, Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. Career Hansen was born in Tromsø and started as a newspaper journalist in ''Nordlys'' (1957–1960 and 1961–1963), ''Halden Arbeiderblad'' (1960–1961) and ''Arbeiderbladet''. For the latter he was a foreign correspondent in London. He was employed in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation in 1978. He was a correspondent for NRK in Washington, DC from 1991 to 1995. He presided over election debates, and has also appeared several times on CNN as well as other international news channels. NRK, an abbreviation of the Norwegian ''Norsk Rikskringkasting AS'', generally expressed in English as the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, is the Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company, and the largest media organisation in Norway. ''Dagsrevyen'' (English: ''The Daily Review'') is the daily evening news programme for the Norway, Norwegian television channel NRK1, the main channel of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), broadcast at 19:00. In 2007, the programme started airing simultaneously on NRK's dedicated news channel NRK2, but this arrangement ended that same year. Dagsrevyen's first newscast was broadcast in 1958 and it has kept its name since. It is Norway's most viewed programme, with daily ratings of around one million. Around 200 people are involved in its production, with headquarters at Marienlyst in Oslo. Dagsrevyen aims at fewer, but longer and more extensive stories than its competitors. Christian Borch
Christian Borch (born 2 June 1944) is a Norwegian television presenter and news anchor. He was born in Bergen, but grew up in Holmenkollåsen. In his younger days he worked at sea and studied law, but ended these pursuits to become a journalist in ''Morgenbladet''. Hired in ''Morgenbladet'' in 1965, he went on to Norges Eksportråd in 1969 and the Federation of Norwegian Industries in 1970. From 1974 to 1978 he had his second spell in ''Morgenbladet'', as news editor. He was hired in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation in 1978, and in the early 2000s he served as news anchor for ''Dagsrevyen''. In 2004 he won a Gullruten award for ''best news or sports anchor''. In 2010 he took over as presenter of the foreign affairs special ''Urix'' together with Annette Groth. His first wife, with whom he had two daughters, died of cancer at the age of 42. He was later married to actress Elsa Hvinden for thirteen years. Annette Groth (born 16 February 1952 in Oslo) is a Norway, Norwegian journalist working for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. She worked in ''Agderposten'', ''Aftenposten'' and ''Nationen'' before landing a job in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation in 1976. She served as their correspondent in London from 1991 to 2000, before she headed the news review ''Dagsrevyen'' from 2001 to 2004. In 2007 she became their correspondent in Washington, DC.
