University Of Forestry (Yezin)
The University of Forestry and Environmental Science (Yezin) ( my, သစ်တောနှင့်ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ဆိုင်ရာ တက္ကသိုလ် (ရေဆင်း), ), in Yezin near Nay Pyi Taw, is the only university specialized in forestry and environmental science in Myanmar. Founded in 1923 as the Forestry Department of Yangon University, in 1992, the University of Forestry and Environmental Science became a separate entity based in Yezin, Nay Pyi Taw. It mainly offers a five-year Bachelor of Science degree program in forestry and environmental science as well as two-year master's and three-year doctoral programs. The university is administered by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation. Nay Pyi Taw
Naypyidaw, officially spelled Nay Pyi Taw (; ), is the capital and third-largest city of Myanmar. The city is located at the centre of the Naypyidaw Union Territory. Yezin
Yezin is a university village located beside the Yangon-Mandalay Road. The village of Yezin ( my, ရေဇင်း), 12 miles far from north-east of Pyinmana, Burma, has been the site of national scientific research institutions since the late 1970s, when the Forest Research Institute (FRI) was established. Soon after the FRI was established, other institutions followed the suit and the place became an academic hub for Forestry, Agriculture and Veterinary. It is located within Naypyidaw Municipal area. Because of the universities and research institutes, the village is famous as the university village. Yezin became a well known academic center long before Nay Pyi Taw was established and became the capital in 2005. Yezin has a dam and it is called Yezin dam. Yezin Agricultural University (YAU) ( my, ရေဆင်း စိုက်ပျိုးရေး တက္ကသိုလ် ), located in Yezin, is the only institution of higher learning in agriculture in Myanmar. YAU also has major campuses in Mawlamyine and Hlegu, as well as five smaller regional campuses in Aungpan, Hmawbi, Kyaukse, Magway and Phyu. Burmese Name
Burmese names lack the serial structure of most Western names. The Burmans have no customary matronymic or patronymic system and thus there is no surname at all. In the culture of Myanmar, people can change their name at will, often with no government oversight, to reflect a change in the course of their lives. Also, many Burmese names use an honorific, given at some point in life, as an integral part of the name. Traditional and Western-style names Burmese names were originally one syllable, as in the cases of U Nu and U Thant ("U" being an honorific).
