Uniklubi
Uniklubi is a Finland, Finnish alternative rock band (music), band. It was founded in 1999. The band became well known for its hit ''Rakkautta ja piikkilankaa'' in 2004. The band's lyrics are in the Finnish language. All members are from the town of Hämeenkyrö, except the bassist Teemu Rajamäki, who is from Ikaalinen. Originally they called themselves 'Pincenez' but they did not get much positive feedback about it, so they renamed their band 'Uniklubi', a Finnish word that means 'Dream Club'. History The band was founded in 1999 by Jussi and Pasi. The name "Uniklubi" did not exist at the time; they went by the name Pincenez (a French term for a type of glasses without). The first songs they played were covers of their favorite bands, in English. However, as they began writing their own songs, Jussi felt more confident with his mother tongue, Finnish. Bloodpit is a Finnish hard rock band. Before 1998 the band has been named "RIP" and "Turmio". It was founded in 1994 by Matthau Mikojan (Matti Mikkonen), lead singer, and Paavo Pekkonen, guitarist. They released their first album '' Mental Circus'' in 2005, along with many singles, such as "Platitude", "Bad-Ass Blues", and "Wise Men Don't Cry". Their second album, ''Off the Hook'' was released in 2007. The single "Platitude" is on the soundtrack to the EA Sports game ''NHL 07''. Rockcock
Kuopiorock (also Kuopio Rockcock or simply Rockcock) is a Finnish two- to three-day rock music festival held annually in Väinölänniemi, Kuopio, at the turn of July and August. The first event was held in 2003. In 2012, the event celebrated its 10th anniversary and the festival was held on 27–28 July. In connection with the event, there is a Campcock campsite. Väinölänniemi will be fenced throughout the event. In addition, several club gigs will be played around the city of Kuopio and a band race will be held in early summer, with the winner getting to perform in Rockcock. In 2006, Rockcock's novelty was Hevikaraoke. By 2007, the festival's event area expanded to include large Väinölänniemi Beach in the shore of Lake Kallavesi and the park area at the base of the peninsula, and the Peräniemi casino was added as a fourth stage. Lovex
Lovex is a rock band from Tampere, Finland. History Lovex started officially in 2001–2002, when several musicians who had previously played in other bands, decided to start their own band to play rock music and have fun. By 2004 they had written and recorded a number of songs, and then received a record deal with EMI Finland. August 2005 saw the release of their first hit, "Bleeding". Their second single, "Guardian Angel" was released in January 2006 and became a huge hit in Finland. The band's first album, ''Divine Insanity'', was also released in March 2006. Jann Wilde
Jann Wilde (Jani Matti Juhani Tuovinen) is a Finnish singer/songwriter from Tampere, Finland. Born on 14 April 1982. Jann Wilde started his musical career when he released his demo EP Boys Out Of New York in 2004. On the early demos, he recorded all the instruments on most of the tracks. In 2005 Jann Wilde teamed up with a band Rose Avenue and formed Jann Wilde & Rose Avenue. They released one album in February 2007 called Tokio Okei before splitting up. Subsequently, Jann Wilde and Rose Avenue drummer Tender Rexx recruited new musicians. Their record label wanted them to retain the existing band name, but the new formation took the name Jann Wilde & The Neon Comets. Sir Christus (born Jukka Kristian Mikkonen; April 10, 1978 – December 7, 2017) was a Finnish guitarist, best known as the former rhythm guitarist of the glam rock band Negative. His father was Arwo Mikkonen, guitarist of the Finnish rock band Popeda. His father died in 1986, leaving eight-year-old Christus and his four-year-old brother Matthau, without a father figure in their life. On Negative's single "Fading Yourself" (March 14, 2007), Sir Christus did vocals for a bonus track: "Lost in America" (originally by Alice Cooper). Negative has never performed this song live.
