US Ferrals XIII
Union Sportive Ferrals XIII are a French Rugby league club based in Ferrals-les-Corbières, Aude in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The play in the National Division 1. They play their home games at the Stade de la Fontaine. History In 1977, they finished runner-up in the old 2nd Division, now called the National Division 1 losing to Saint-Cyprien in the final 15-16. The club had to wait until season 2014/15 for their next tilt at success. At the end of that season, after winning the Paul Dejean Cup and the league, they then won the league Grand final against Villeghailhenc-Aragon XIII but turned down promotion to Elite Two stating the club wasn't ready. The following season, they once again reached the Paul Dejean Cup final, beating US Entraigues XIII and after finishing second in the league, play-off wins over US Trentels XIII and Tonneins XIII saw them reach a second consecutive final. Villeghailhenc-Aragon XIII
Villegailhenc-Aragon XIII are a semi-professional rugby league team based in Villegailhenc, Aude in Languedoc-Rousillon in southern France. They currently play in the second tier competition the Elite Two Championship. Their home stadium is the Stade Jerome Rieux. History Originally being an amateur club they competed in the French rugby league amateur competition the Federal Championship. In 1987 they reached their first 'Federal Championship' final, now called National Division 2, but lost out to Le Barcares 9-16. In 1993 they once again reached the final but lost again this time to Le Lauquet-Palaja 15-18. By the first decade of the millennium they were still playing in the National Division 2 but that changed when in season 2011/12 they once again reached the final but this time they won beating Le Soler 11-6 and thus clinching promotion. Elite One Championship
Elite 1 is the top level rugby league competition in France, sanctioned by the French Rugby League Federation. The season runs from September to April, which is in contrast to the majority of other major domestic rugby league competitions worldwide. The clubs play each other home and away then they enter into a play-off series culminating with a Grand Final. Tonneins XIII are a French Rugby league club based in Tonneins, Lot-et-Garonne, in the Aquitaine region. They play in the French National Division 1. The club plays its home games at the Stade Jean-Bernege History Founded in 1934 making them one of the earliest Rugby League teams in France. They spent their early years in the lower leagues, indeed it wasn't until the 1990s that the club began to win major honours. U.S. Trentels XIII are a French Rugby league club based in Trentels, Lot-et-Garonne in the Aquitaine region. The club plays in the French National Division 1. Their home ground is the Stade de Lustrac. History Founded as Union Sportive Trentels XIII the club can count on only a brief spell during the 1980s as a successful period. In season 83/84 they reached and won the Federal Division now called the National Division 2 in the final they beat Paris XIII 15-10 thus earning promotion. Three years later they lifted the National 2 title, nowadays known as the National Division 1, when they beat RC Baho XIII in the final 7-6. In season 2011/12 the club reached the National Division 2 final losing to Le Soler XIII 12-23 but despite losing they were also promoted alongside their victors to the 3rd tier. Union Sportive Entraigues XIII are a rugby league team based in Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue in the region of Vaucluse in the south-west of France.
