Uzbekistan Customs Service
The Customs Service () is the customs agency of Uzbekistan. It has been part of the National Security Service since being transferred to its control in 2005 with the Uzbekistan Frontier Service. The Customer Support service offers services adapted to solve specific problems faced by participants in foreign economic activity projects related to the needs of the client. Higher Customs Institute The Higher Military Customs Institute () is an educational institution of the military that trains specialists in the customs system. It was established on 22 May 2002, on the basis of the Academy of the Customs Service of Uzbekistan. As the institute's basic training routine improved, links with similar educational departments of foreign countries grew. In its first year, 125 students were enrolled in the institute. Uzbekistan (, ; uz, Ozbekiston, italic=yes / , ; russian: Узбекистан), officially the Republic of Uzbekistan ( uz, Ozbekiston Respublikasi, italic=yes / ; russian: Республика Узбекистан), is a doubly landlocked country located in Central Asia. National Security Service (Uzbekistan)
The State Security Service ( Uzbek ''Davlat Xavfsizlik Xizmati'', ''DXX''; in Russian ''Служба государственной безопасности'', ''СГБ'', often romanised as ''SGB'') is the national intelligence agency of the government of Uzbekistan. It was created on 26 September 1991 as a successor to the KGB and its republican affiliate in the Uzbek SSR. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, it has retained the same responsibilities and a similar range of functional units, including paramilitary police and special forces. It was renamed from the National Security Service on 14 March 2018. The SNB was a rival of the Interior Ministry until 2005, when it was brought under its control. Uzbekistan Frontier Service
The Frontier Service, officially called the Committee for State Border Protection of the National Security Service ( uz, Milliy xavfsizlik xizmatining Davlat chegaralarini qo'riqlash qo'mitasi) and commonly referred to as the National Border Guard, is a department of the military and National Security Service of Uzbekistan responsible for border security, part of the Security Service since 2005. Structure Navy A small riverine naval force is operated by the Frontier Service on the Amu Darya river, with two Gurza-class gunboats in service as well as other small craft. Civil Guard In early 2021, the government ordered the creation of civilian border guard detachments to assist the border troops. Tashkent (, uz, Toshkent, Тошкент/, ) (from russian: Ташкент), or Toshkent (; ), also historically known as Chach is the capital and largest city of Uzbekistan.
