Almaty Region
Almaty Region ( kk, Алматы облысы, Almaty oblysy; russian: Алматинская область, Almatinskaya oblast) is a region in Kazakhstan, located in the southeastern part of the country. Its capital, from 1997 to 2022 was the city of Taldykorgan. But with the creation of the new Jetysu Region in 2022, Taldykorgan was chosen to be its capital and the capital of Almaty region was moved to the city of Kunayev. Village

Ketmen Ridge
The Ketmen Ridge is a mountain range located in southern Kazakhstan, close to the borders of China and Kyrgyzstan. The ridge is within the territory of the China and Raiymbek districts of the Almaty region. It is located to the east of the Zailiisky Alatau, in the northern Tien Shan mountain range. The Ketmen Ridge runs from the Kyungei-Ala-Too Ridge in the west to the Narat Ridge in the east and its northern slopes pass into the Ili Valley. Charyn Canyon
Charyn Canyon (also known as Sharyn Canyon, kk, Шарын шатқалы, ''Sharyn shatqaly'') is a canyon on the Sharyn River in Kazakhstan ( east of Almaty, close to the Chinese border). The canyon is roughly in length. It is part of the Charyn National Park (established on 23 February 2004), and is located within the territory of the Uygur District, Raiymbek District and Enbekshikazakh District (of the Almaty Province). The canyon features peculiar and colourful formations in the likeness of chapels, towers, animals, etc., each formed by the weathering of sedimentary rock.
