''Uriyadi 2'' is a 2019 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language political film, political action thriller film written and directed by Vijay Kumar (Tamil filmmaker), Vijay Kumar and produced by actor Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. It stars Vijay Kumar (Tamil filmmaker), Vijay Kumar and newcomer Vismaya, while Abbas, "Parithabangal" Sudhakar, Durai Ramesh, and Shankar Thas play supporting roles. The music was composed by Govind Vasantha, and the film released on 5 April 2019. A spiritual sequel to the 2016 film ''Uriyadi'', it released on 5 April 2019 to positive critical reviews for its dialogues and political content. It turned out to be a commercial success. Vijay Kumar is an Indian actor, writer, director, lyricist and producer. His directorial debut, ''Uriyadi'', a political thriller set in the 1990s, was released in 2016 to high critical acclaim and was lauded as one of the best political thrillers in Tamil cinema. Thoothukudi Massacre
Thoothukudi massacre (also known as the Thoothukudi police firing, the Anti Sterlite protest firing and so on) denotes events that took place on 22 and 23 May 2018 in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India. The violence took place during an ongoing protest against proposed expansion of a copper smelter plant run by Sterlite Corporation in Thoothukudi town. Police opened fire on the protesters, killed 13 people and left 102 injured. Several policemen were also injured during the protests. On 22 May morning, the 100th day of the anti-Sterlite protests, thousands of people marched towards the Thoothukudi Collectorate, against legal prohibitory orders passed by the district administration. The Bhopal disaster, also referred to as the Bhopal gas tragedy, was a chemical accident on the night of 2–3 December 1984 at the Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) pesticide plant in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India.
