Uno Anton
Uno Anton (4 April 1942 in Suislepa – 19 April 2012) was an Estonian politician and a voter for the Estonian restoration of Independence. He was born in Suislepa as the fifth child of six. His father died early and his mother raised their children alone. He studied at Suislepa Primary School and Mustla Secondary School. After graduating from Paide School, he worked as a excavator and at the same time studied in high school. From 1961 to 1963, he worked as an excavator at Viljandi EPT. From 1963 to 1966, he was in the Soviet Army. From 1966 to 1971, he studied agronomy at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. From 1971 to 1972, he worked as a head of the department at the Vambola collective farm near Soe, while in 1972–73 he was in the Tarvastu collective farm. Suislepa
Suislepa is a village in Viljandi Parish, Viljandi County, Estonia. Until the 2017 administrative reform of Estonian municipalities the village was located in Tarvastu Parish.The population as of 2014 was 305 people. It is 42 km (26 miles) southeast of the town of Viljandi, near the southern coast of Võrtsjärv lake. History The village of Suislepa is located near the Õhne river (also called the Suislepa, Omuli, and Omeli river), first mentioned in 1478 in the German chronicles ''Omelsche Hecke'' by Baltic German settlers. In the 17th century, German nobles Jürgen Schütte Bultler and Franz Scutten began implementing the construction of a large manor in Suislepa. The estate went through a succession of owners until it fell into ruin in the early 19th century. Jaak Allik
Jaak Allik (born 6 October 1946) is an Estonian theatre critic, theatre director and politician. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party, and was previously the Estonian Minister of Culture 1995–1999 ( et, Eesti kultuuriminister). He was member of the VII, VIII and X Riigikogu. Personal life Jaak studied at the University of Tartu with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a major in sociology and history, later working as a lecturer in that same university. He worked as a theater director and designer in the 1980s, becoming the set designer for Ugala. As Jaak had been a part of the Estonian Communist Party since 1971 (and, ultimately, the CPSU), he became part of groups such as the Supreme Soviet and involved with notable Estonian communists such as Mikk Titma and Indrek Toome. Jüri Rätsep
Jüri Rätsep (3 July 1935 – 1 August 2018) was an Estonian lawyer, politician and judge. He graduated in 1956 from the Elva Workers' High School and in 1961 from the law faculty of the University of Tartu. He worked as a researcher and assistant prosecutor in the Viljandi Prosecutor's Office from 1961 to 1966; Since 1966 he was a lawyer in Viljandi's legal counsel and he was a member of the Estonian Bar Association.
