Jüri Rätsep
Jüri Rätsep (3 July 1935 – 1 August 2018) was an Estonian lawyer, politician and judge. He graduated in 1956 from the Elva Workers' High School and in 1961 from the law faculty of the University of Tartu. He worked as a researcher and assistant prosecutor in the Viljandi Prosecutor's Office from 1961 to 1966; Since 1966 he was a lawyer in Viljandi's legal counsel and he was a member of the Estonian Bar Association. From 1990 to 1992 he was member of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Estonia, he was a member of the press commission and vice chairman of the Ethics Committee. On 20 August 1991 he voted for the restoration of the Republic of Estonia. He was also a member of the I and II Committees of the Estonian Committee and its board member; as well as from 1991 to 1992 as a member of the Constitutional Assembly. Jüri is a Populated places in Estonia, small borough ( et, alevik) in Harju County, northern Estonia. It is located southeast of the capital Tallinn, by the European route E263, Tallinn–Tartu road (E263), directly after the intersection with Tallinn Ring Road (nr. 11). Jüri is the administrative centre of Rae Parish. Jüri has a population of 3,426 as of 1 January 2012. In 2011, Jüri was the center of population of Estonia. Jüri has grown out of two parts: the centre of Sommerling kolkhoz (former Rosenhagen Manor) in the west and construction industry base with a residential area (former Jüri church and village) in the east. In the middle there is a protected Lehmja oak grove. In the 1630s the Rosenhagen Manor (Lehmja since 1917) was established; nowadays the site is located in western Jüri. Elva, Estonia
Elva is a town in Elva Parish, Tartu County, Estonia. Elva has two large lakes: Lake Verevi has a sandy and well-developed beach area that is very popular in the summer and is host to many outdoor events. Lake Arbi has wet reed grown shores. Elva's largest employer (and in all of southern Estonia) is Enics Eesti AS, subsidiary of Enics Group, providing electronics manufacturing services in industrial electronics. Elva has one school, Elva Gümnaasium, offering education from 1st grade to high school graduation. A dominant element in Elva is the train station which today is a visitors' information center and which used to be an important trade route in the past centuries.
