United States National Under-18 Baseball Team
The United States national under-18 baseball team is the national under-18 baseball team of United States in international-level baseball competitions. The organization is currently ranked 2nd in the world by the International Baseball Federation. They have won the U-18 Baseball World Cup 8 times. The U.S. national 18U team debuted their international team in the Friendship Series, in 1983. USA Baseball is the national governing body for organized baseball in the United States, and is a member of the United States Olympic Committee and the World Baseball Softball Confederation. Ricky Meinhold
Ricky Meinhold (born March 8, 1986) is an American former baseball pitcher who is currently the pitching coach for the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Meinhold previously served for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB), the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB), the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and the Missouri Tigers of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). USA Baseball National Training Complex
The USA Baseball National Training Complex is located in western Cary, North Carolina, off of Green Hope School Road. The Town of Cary was selected to be the new home of USA Baseball in 2002. It is home to the St. Augustine's College Falcons baseball teams and was also the home of the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2008. Every June it hosts the annual Tournament of Stars, which features the top high-school talent in the nation. USA Baseball's college national team and several other teams use the complex for games and practice. Beginning in 2009, the complex was selected to host the NCAA Division II College World Series. The National Training Complex has four baseball fields (one Stadium Field and 3 Training Fields), with dimensions of 330 feet down the lines, 400 feet in center. The United States women's national baseball team is a national team that represents the United States of America in international women's baseball competitions. It is controlled by USA Baseball and is a member of the Pan American Baseball Confederation (COPABE). United States National Baseball Team
The United States national baseball team represents the United States in international-level baseball competitions. The team is currently ranked 5th in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation. Team USA won the Olympic baseball tournament in 2000, and the World Baseball Classic (WBC) in 2017. The United States was an inaugural member of the World Baseball Classic, making its debut in the first edition. In their first three appearances in the WBC, the best finish for the Americans was fourth place in 2009. In 2017, the team won the WBC title for the first time. Team USA qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics by winning the eight-team Americas Qualifying Event in June 2021. Gregory Allen Ritchie (born January 25, 1964) is an American baseball player and coach. He is the head coach of the George Washington Colonials baseball team. He played for the Brother Elephants in the Chinese Professional Baseball League in 1995 and coached the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball in 2013. Playing career The San Francisco Giants selected Ritchie in the eighth round, with the 188th overall pick, of the 1986 Major League Baseball Draft. Bill Mosiello
William Mosiello (born July 14, 1964) is a baseball coach and former catcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He played college baseball at Cerritos College from 1984 to 1985 before transferring to Fresno State where he played in 1986. Playing career Mosiello went to Cerritos High School in Cerritos, California, where he played catcher. Mosiello redshirted the 1983 season at Fresno State. Andy Stankiewicz
Andrew Neal Stankiewicz (born August 10, 1964), is the head coach of the USC Trojans baseball team in Los Angeles and is a retired Major League Baseball middle-infielder. Stankiewicz had a seven-year MLB playing career spanning four clubs and 429 appearances. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 1986 draft and went on to make his MLB debut with the club in 1992. He also played for the Houston Astros and Montreal Expos before closing out his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1998. Kumar Rocker (born November 22, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers organization. He played college baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball, Vanderbilt Commodores.
