United Motherland
United Motherland (), also known as United Homeland is a political party in the Republic of Artsakh. It was founded on 22 September 2019. Samvel Babayan is the party's founder and leader. Electoral record The party participated in the 2020 Artsakhian general election and won 9 seats out of 33 in the National Assembly. Ideology Prior to the 2020 election, the party pledged its support for presidential candidate Masis Mayilyan. Following the 2020 election, Samvel Babayan announced his support for newly elected President Arayik Harutyunyan. Babayan announced that a political cooperation memorandum would be signed between United Motherland and the Free Motherland - UCA Alliance. Babayan also proclaimed that his party would seek to strengthen security, social welfare and would create a new political culture in Artsakh where freedom of expression will be a priority. United Homeland Party
The United Homeland Party ( hy, Միացյալ հայրենիք կուսակցություն, translit=Miats’yal hayrenik’ kusakts’ut’yun) is an Armenian political party. It was founded on 23 April 2021 and is currently led by economist Mher Terteryan. History The party was founded during the 2020–2021 Armenian protests and does not maintain any political representation within the National Assembly of Armenia, National Assembly. The party currently acts as an Extra-parliamentary opposition, extra-parliamentary force. The party confirmed its intentions to participate in the 2021 Armenian parliamentary elections and also stated that they opposed forming any political alliances. Artsakh, officially the Republic of Artsakh () or the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (),, is a list of states with limited recognition, breakaway state in the South Caucasus whose territory is internationally recognised as part of Azerbaijan. Artsakh controls a part of the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast, including the capital of Stepanakert. It is an Enclave and exclave, enclave within Azerbaijan. Arayik Vladimiri Harutyunyan ( hy, Արայիկ Վլադիմիրի Հարությունյան; born 14 December 1973) is an Armenian politician who has been serving as the President of Artsakh since 2020. He was formerly the 1st State Minister from 2017 until his resignation in 2018 and 6th and last Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh from 2007 until its abolishment upon the adoption of a new constitution in 2017. Early life Harutyunyan was born in Stepanakert, then capital of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast, part of the Azerbaijani SSR, then Soviet Union, in 1973. Masis Samveli Mayilyan ( Armenian:Մասիս Սամվելի Մայիլյան; born 14 September 1967) is an Artsakhi politician, diplomat and former presidential candidate. He is currently serving as ambassador-at-large of the Republic of Artsakh. From September 2017 until January 2021, he served as the Foreign Minister of Artsakh. The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh ( hy, Արցախի Հանրապետության Ազգային ժողով, Artsakhi Hanrapetut'yan Azgayin zhoghov; often shortened: , ) is the legislative branch of the government of the Republic of Artsakh. 2020 Artsakhian General Election
General elections were held in the Republic of Artsakh on 31 March 2020, with a second round of the presidential election on 14 April. Voters elected the President and 33 members of the National Assembly. It was the first time the President and National Assembly were elected at the same time. The Free Motherland - UCA Alliance, United Motherland, Justice, ARF, and the Democratic Party won seats in National Assembly. No party won the majority of seats, which means that coalition talks are likely to be held within parties. Presidential candidate Arayik Harutyunyan came first in the first round of the presidential election. A run-off between him and incumbent Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan was held on 14 April 2020. However, Masis Mayilyan made an announcement urging the people of Artsakh not to participate in the second round of elections in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Blue
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model.
