United June Movement
The United June Movement (Turkish: ''Birleşik Haziran Hareketi'', BHH) was a political coalition bringing together left-wing, communist and socialist parties, Marxist–Leninist political organizations, independent individuals and various left-wing non-governmental organizations in Turkey. BHH was defined as anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-fascist and anti-reactionary political alliance by the founders of the movement. The June Movement comprised a broad array of groups and political parties including the Freedom and Solidarity Party, the Communist Party, the People's Communist Party of Turkey, the Labourist Movement Party, the Socialist Liberation Party (formerly known as the Communist Party of Turkey 1920) and the . June 2015 Turkish General Election
General elections were held in Turkey on 7 June 2015 to elect 550 members to the Grand National Assembly. This was the 24th general election in the history of the Turkish Republic, electing the country's 25th Parliament. The result was the first hung parliament since the 1999 general elections. Unsuccessful attempts to form a coalition government resulted in a snap general election being called for November 2015. The Justice and Development Party (AKP), which had governed Turkey since 2002, lost its parliamentary majority and won 258 seats with 40.9% of the vote, clearly missing the aimed two-thirds majority for the implementation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's call for an executive presidency. Ertuğrul Kürkçü
Ertuğrul Kürkçü (born 5 May 1948) is a Turkish politician, socialist activist and the current Honorary President of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) as of 22 June 2014 and Honorary Associate of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) as of 8 October 2018. Recent Political Background He previously served as the co-chair of the HDP between October 2013 and June 2014 with co-chair Sebahat Tuncel. Socialist Liberation Party
The Socialist Liberation Party ( tr, Toplumcu Kurtuluş Partisi, 1920 TKP) is a Marxist–Leninist communist party in Turkey. The party was founded as "Toplumcu Kurtuluş Partisi" on 7 February 2012. The party changed its name to "Türkiye Komünist Partisi" on 15 February 2012. The Constitutional Court didn't allow the renaming, because there was already a party with same name, i.e. Türkiye Komünist Partisi.
