Communist Party ( tr, Komünist Parti, or KP) is a communist party in Turkey founded in 2014. Development Following a period of internal strife within the then-defunct Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), the party decided to split in two. On 15 July 2014, the two rival factions reached a consensus to freeze the activities of the former party and that neither faction shall use the name and emblem of TKP. Central Committee
Central committee is the common designation of a standing administrative body of Communist party, communist parties, analogous to a board of directors, of both ruling and nonruling parties of former and existing socialist states. November 2015 Turkish General Election
General elections were held in Turkey on 1 November 2015 to elect 550 members to the Grand National Assembly. They were the 25th general elections in the History of the Republic of Turkey and elected the country's 26th Parliament. The election resulted in the Justice and Development Party (AKP) regaining a Parliamentary majority following a 'shock' victory, having lost it five months earlier in the June 2015 general elections. The snap elections were called by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on 24 August 2015 after the June election resulted in a hung parliament and coalition negotiations broke down. June 2015 Turkish General Election
General elections were held in Turkey on 7 June 2015 to elect 550 members to the Grand National Assembly. This was the 24th general election in the history of the Turkish Republic, electing the country's 25th Parliament. The result was the first hung parliament since the 1999 general elections. Unsuccessful attempts to form a coalition government resulted in a snap general election being called for November 2015. The Justice and Development Party (AKP), which had governed Turkey since 2002, lost its parliamentary majority and won 258 seats with 40.9% of the vote, clearly missing the aimed two-thirds majority for the implementation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's call for an executive presidency. Aydemir Güler
Aydemir Güler (; born 1961) is a Turkish communist politician and was the leader of Communist Party of Turkey (TKP). Biography Güler was born in 1961 in Istanbul, Turkey. He graduated from St. Joseph High School and Department of Economics, Boğaziçi University. He worked as an assistant in Faculty of Economics, Istanbul University. He received a M.Sc. degree here. Political career He became a founder member of Party for Socialist Turkey in 1992. After the party was banned, he was elected as the new chairman of Party for Socialist Power, founded in 1993. Kemal Okuyan (born 1962) is the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Turkey. Youth Through his childhood and youth, he was in İzmir and İstanbul. He graduated from Boğaziçi University Political Sciences Department. Political life He started his political activities in Workers Party of Turkey. After criticising the party's politics based on national democratic revolution he took part in a splinter group formed around the journal ''Socialist Power (Sosyalist İktidar)'' and he was among the first writers of the journal.
